Seeing Hobart Again
The two didn't stay long; later that evening, Will took Sylvia back to the Slytherin girls' dormitory.
The next morning, Will packed his things quickly and left Hogwarts.
"Crack!" With a loud bang, a crimson flame flashed.
Will appeared in a Study decorated in a low-key yet luxurious style, with firewood burning brightly in the Floo Network, making the entire Study warm and comfortable.
This is Aldren Castle, the Duke's private Study, where he handles important matters. Will and the Duke usually communicate here.
Will pressed the button on the table and then waited—this was Will's personal button, which would send a signal to the Duke to let him know that he had arrived.
After all, aside from someone like Will who could directly enter his Study, there really wasn't anyone who could bypass the Howard's surveillance and reach this place.
About half an hour later, the Duke opened the Study door. "Mr. Behrens, Joy Christmas, you've arrived quite early."
He looks to be in good spirits, showing none of the typical signs of old age, which is largely due to the exorbitant maintenance fees he invests in every year.
Of course, some of the Charms Will had cast on him also played a significant role.
"Actually, it's getting a bit late," Will said, putting down an elegantly bound copy of * Leviathan *. "Tell me about the situation in America, especially that big event they're planning after Christmas."
The Duke nodded and respectfully began to speak to Will:
The event was scheduled for January 1, 1997, and was to be held by believers in Louisiana at the Louisiana Headquarters Church.
They will worship the great Wizard God, who believe that the Wizard God will bless them.
At this point, the Duke glanced at Will, after all, this was the ' Wizard God ' that the believers spoke of. He wondered how Will would bestow blessings upon the believers.
"This was all orchestrated by Rodney Sinclair, the head of the Southern United States. He did a good job, and there was no situation like Jeffrey Ritchie's."
Will nodded. "So, after killing off a bunch of mediocre managers, these selected managers are actually quite good."
The Duke wiped his sweat. "That's true."
"So, do you have time to witness a miracle on January 1st?"
The Duke paused for a moment, then immediately nodded. "Of course, Mr. Behrens, I'd love to!"
Judging from his appearance, even if he doesn't have time, he can still squeeze out some time.
"Then, I'll go first..."
"Wait, Mr. Behrens," the Duke said hastily, "Hobart is at the Castle today."
"Oh?" Will had originally said he was leaving, but now he decided to meet with Hobart.
The two hadn't seen each other for a long time, and their communication had even decreased because Hobart was busy with various matters at the Game Company.
Hearing that Hobart was at the Castle, Will still intended to sit with Hobart, after all, Hobart had indeed been very kind to him.
Even if Will didn't have all these achievements, Hobart would still treat him like a nephew.
So even though Will now stands at the pinnacle of the Wizarding World, he will still consider Hobart as family... well, let's not talk about Will's biological father Edward.
Will didn't kill him because Will was too kind.
The Duke was delighted—letting Hobart go home for Christmas was indeed the right choice. With a smile, he respectfully led Will to a drawing Drawing Room.
"Please rest in the drawing Drawing Room for a while. The servants will bring your drinks soon. I'll go get Hobart."
Will nodded, not paying much attention. A few minutes later, the servant brought over large glasses of Grape Juice, steaming hot Black Tea, bitter and fragrant Coffee, and a whole bunch of other fruit juices.
Will was drinking Grape Juice when, a dozen minutes later, Hobart, wearing a slightly disheveled bathrobe, came running over.
"Will!" Hobart laughed heartily. "Long time no see, you little rascal, why don't you ever write to me?"
You haven't replied to my messages several times. Is it because your relationship is taking up your time?
You've grown quite a bit taller! Hmm, not bad, much stronger than before!
Hobart showed Will none of the reverence he had for the Duke; he was simply an uncle who cared for his nephew.
The Duke followed Hobart, his heart pounding in his chest—was his unfilial son calling Mr. Behrens a "bastard"?
What is this brat up to? The Duke was about to explain, but Will didn't care at all. He bumped fists with Hobart, and the two gave each other a warm bear hug. Will had a smile on his face.
Will was naturally not upset; he and Hobart were family, and this was normal between family members.
Seeing Will's reaction, the Duke was relieved and prepared to leave so that the uncle and nephew could catch up.
"I've been quite busy this year," Will said with a smile. "Many times I haven't had time to reply to your letters, Uncle."
"How busy can you be?" Hobart shook his head, winking. "You're not spending every night with your girlfriend until the wee hours, are you?"
Will, I have to tell you, if you want her to get pregnant, it's best to wait until next year, when you both graduate and can have a child and plan your marriage. I don't encourage it this year."
Will was completely baffled—what on earth was Hobart talking about? What exactly happened to him during his school years?
"You—" Hobart exclaimed upon seeing Will's expression, "You're not really going to have a child, are you? Professor McGonagall will kill you!"
Will with some helplessness, "Actually, after class every day, I have to have evening tutoring sessions with the professors."
After that, I would do three to five hours of experiments. I would usually write my paper in the early morning to relax and then go to sleep.
Now it was Hobart's turn to be dumbfounded. "What, what are you saying?"
Hobart could understand each word Will said individually, but when put together, he couldn't understand it at all.
The old duke, who hadn't gone far, heard all this and a look of understanding appeared on his face—so that's why Will was so hardworking and diligent; no wonder he was so much more powerful than the other Wizard.
It seems that no one else is as hardworking as Will. If the Duke becomes Wizard one day, he should learn from Will's hard work, and his skill level will surely improve at a fast pace.
Of course, once he actually becomes Wizard, he will find that things are completely different from what he imagined.
Will gave Hobart an apologetic smile:
"So I'm really busy. If you follow the Wizarding World, especially Potions, you'll know that I've published several pretty important papers this year."
However, you should have received my gift.
Hobart, hearing "academic," lost interest. "I see; oh right, I received your gift, the strategy map is quite good."
I've already made arrangements for the acquisition of Valve and Blizzard Entertainment.
But... Will, you'll wear yourself out doing this every day. You need to relax more.
Do you want to go out for lunch with me? We'll go to the Savoy Hotel, and I'll take you to see Striptease Show.
The old duke, who had already walked some distance, nearly tripped and fell—what on earth was that bastard Hobart saying?
Will smiled and waved his hand—he had no interest in that sort of thing, "Never mind, Uncle, I think we should just find a nice Dining Room, have a meal, and chat."
"You're still the same as before, a total bookworm," Hobart said with a hint of exasperation. "Wait a minute, I'll pack up and head to London in a bit."
