Apparition Class

In the following days, Will's daily routine did not change much; he simply replaced his tutoring time with his own study and research time.

Although Dumbledore is still at Hogwarts, there won't be any problem with Will conducting some research that isn't "evil."

The weather at Hogwarts this year has been terrible; since the beginning of winter, there has been no shortage of snow and wind.

There was no more snowfall on Saturday, but gray clouds loomed over the mountains surrounding Hogwarts, making the sky and earth appear gloomy.

The air was still very cold, and each breath stirred up wisps of white mist. The students, wearing thick robes, hurried toward the meadow by the Black Lake.

Many students were dissatisfied. "Why, why do we have to have classes on Saturdays!"

Harry rubbed his face—he felt it was freezing—and used the Fire Jar Charm to warm it up.

Ron groaned, "It's so cold, so cold! I should be sleeping in at this time of year, then going to the Dining Room for Chicken Leg!"

Hermione shuddered, clutching a can containing Blue Flames: "Don't talk nonsense, Ron. This is to avoid disrupting regular classes. Apparition isn't something students are required to learn."

And you'd better take a look at who those people are...

Ron looked towards the lake and shivered involuntarily, whether from fear or the cold, it was hard to tell.

The four Head of House —Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, Professor Flitwick, and Professor Sprout— were all present, along with a short Wizard —who, of course, was a little taller than Professor Flitwick.

He muttered, "Damn it, I don't want to be with Snape..."

About twenty minutes later, the students had gradually assembled.

They gathered before the four Head of House and a short Wizard.

The short Wizard had unusually pale skin, translucent eyelashes, and fine hair, giving him an unreal appearance, as if a gust of wind could blow him away.

Will thinks this guy has albinism.

"Good morning," said the Wizard from the Ministry of Magic after the students had all arrived and the Head of House had asked everyone to be quiet. "My name is Wickie Twycross, and I will be your Apparition Class instructor this semester. I hope to help you prepare for the Apparition exam."

Twycross's words were cut off by a gust of cold wind blowing from the direction of Black Lake.

The wind whipped up snowflakes that crawled down people's necks, causing many students to scream and shrink back. Even Twycross's pale face was distorted by the wind.

Professor McGonagall's expression wasn't good either, but she still kept a straight face and said, "Concentrate. Apparition requires extremely high concentration; any distraction could lead to—"

"It could lead to Splinching," Snape said grimly, his black eyes sweeping across the crowd. "Your arms, legs, even your internal organs could be left behind. If you don't want to become a pile of mangled corpses, listen carefully."

Snape opened his mouth and no one dared to speak, but the atmosphere remained cold.

Ron's nose was red from the cold, and he huddled up, clutching the fire can.

Twycross cleared his throat, attempting to continue, "Apparition follows the 3D principle, and these three Ds represent destination, determination, and composure..."

"Whoosh!" Another gust of wind swept up a large amount of snow, which swirled and danced in the air, making it seem as if it were snowing again.

He looked at the Head of House with a hint of helplessness. "Professors, how about... we suspend today's classes? Or perhaps we can find a larger classroom?"

Several professors seemed to share this idea, but at this point,

Will and Sylvia stood at the edge of the crowd, watching their classmates shivering from the cold, and sighed softly.

Both he and Sylvia had rosy complexions—this was the effect of the Warm Air Charm; a comfortable warmth emanated from Sylvia robes.

"Professor," Will stepped forward, "Perhaps I have a way."

"Oh?" Professor Flitwick looked at Will. "Will, do you have a plan?"

"Well, it's not really a plan." Will raised his Wand and waved it.

Everyone immediately felt something skim across the ground.

The snow on the Black Lake seemed to have been wiped away by an invisible giant hand, pushing it outwards from the area where the students were standing, revealing the frozen, hardened grass underneath.

Immediately afterwards, a gentle warm current gathered from all around. It wasn't too hot, but it dispelled the chill and made people feel very comfortable.

This warm breeze even blocked the strong winds.

"Merlin's beard..." Professor Flitwick's face lit up with delight. "Will, well done! I'll be adding a bonus for your contribution—"

"Mr. Behrens has earned fifteen points for Slytherin!" Snape exclaimed immediately.

Professor Flitwick glanced at Snape and continued, "I'm adding twenty points to your score, for your excellent Warm Air Charm!"

Professor McGonagall adjusted her Glasses, a smile on her face, and finally simply nodded. "Let's continue the lesson, Mr. Twycross."

Twycross glanced at Will: "As expected of Mr. Behrens, he wields the Household Charms so skillfully."

"Thank you, Mr. Behrens," he said to Will, then looked at the students. "Alright, children, let's continue the lesson."

Twycross began his lecture. "As you may know, Apparition and Apparition are not possible within Hogwarts School and a certain distance away."

The Headmaster specially lifted the Magic, removing the restriction for a period of time, allowing everyone to practice only by the Black Lake.

We will now begin discussing the theoretical knowledge...

After the theoretical explanation, Twycross prepared to demonstrate. "Next, I will demonstrate it for you."

Pay close attention, and remember these three words: destination, determination, and composure.

He took a deep breath, waved his Wand, and chanted Charms. Then his body began to shrink, as if being squeezed into a thin tube, with a sickeningly loud popping sound.

The next second, he appeared at the other end in the distance.

"See everyone? It's your turn," Twycross said. "One at a time. First, concentrate and imagine where you need to get, then—"

With a sharp "snap," Twycross returned to the spot where he had just been lecturing.

He said, "Let's begin, everyone. First, practice the incantation and the Wand gestures, and then combine the two."

"Let's begin chanting the incantation."

At that moment, another crisp "snap!" drew everyone's attention.

Everyone saw Will appear in the distance, and then they saw him raise his Wand.

"Snap!" Will was back again, the whole process as smooth as drinking Grape Juice.

The entire room fell silent.

Twycross's mouth could fit a Niffler...
