"Jerry, what did Professor Snape want with you? You were gone so long that dinner's over!" Hermione asked as Jerry hurried back.
By the time Jerry returned to the Great Hall at Hogwarts, the lively dinner had ended. Half the chandeliers had gone dark, leaving only a few dim lights flickering.
Only a handful of students remained. The long tables, once packed, now held empty seats and scattered dishes.
"It's fine. I'm not hungry! Professor Snape just asked me to help him tidy up. Oh, and this is for you." Jerry handed Hermione the Restorative Potion from his pocket.
"Who brewed this? It's much more effective than mine!" Hermione held it up to the light by the wall and examined it closely.
"Professor Snape brewed it just now. Consider it payment for helping him."
"Professor Snape really is amazing. I didn't know a potion could be this good!"
"It's getting late, Hermione. You should head back to the Common Room. You'll have plenty of time to study the potion later."
"All right!" Hermione glanced at the clock on the wall in surprise. Curfew was still an hour away. Why was Jerry in such a hurry today?
After seeing Hermione off, Jerry did not return to his own house's Common Room. He wandered around the Castle for a while, then stopped outside the Room of Requirement.
