Bang!
Inside the office, Snape slammed his hand down on the Table, glaring at them all.
"Just look at you. Hogwarts' finest students. Dumbledore would be so pleased to see you!"
"Professor Snape..."
"Shut your mouths, all of you!" Snape snapped, then turned to Harry and Malfoy. "How dare you lot fight at school!"
"And you two, sneaking into the Forbidden Forest, all on your own, no less! How bloody romantic!"
"Severus, are the students all right?" Professor McGonagall finally arrived while Snape was still berating them.
"Mr. Potter, how did you end up like this? And Jerry, how could you take Miss Granger into the Forbidden Forest? It's far too dangerous!"
"Sorry, Professor McGonagall!" Hermione lowered her head and spoke quietly.
"Take these students from your House back with you!" Snape pointed at Harry, Hermione, and the others.
"All right, Severus. I'll take them, then!" McGonagall nodded and led them out of Snape's Potions Office.
Jerry wanted to leave with them too. Unfortunately, he was a Slytherin!
It was all that damned Sorting Hat's fault!
"You idiots, go to the Hospital Wing first! As for you, Jerry Green..." After giving Malfoy and the others their instructions and driving them out, Snape turned a sinister smile on Jerry.
"Heh! You can go back too. We'll discuss this once term starts!" Snape said after a moment's thought.
"Huh? Professor, why not just tell me my punishment now? Even taking House Points is fine!"
Seeing Snape's sinister expression, Jerry felt it would be better to settle things now. Who knew what Snape would do to him once term started?
Unfortunately, Snape refused to listen to Jerry's "excuses" and simply drove him out of the office.
By the end of January, the school was bustling again, though most students looked rather miserable.
