Trevor Shacklebolt's face was deathly pale, but his expression was excited. When he saw Catherine carry Jerry into the Slytherin Common Room, he hurried forward to take Jerry from her arms. Before he could get close, however, Catherine's stern glare warned him back.
"What's the situation at Hogwarts?" Catherine asked gravely, turning after gently laying Jerry on the sofa.
"Hogwarts—no, Britain, Europe, even the entire world. Every wizard, everyone with magic in their bodies, must have felt His Eminence's sublime, sacred power by now! A pity those Mudblood wizards could never know the true cause, nor could they ever comprehend His Eminence's great power!" As Trevor Shacklebolt spoke, his gaze never left Jerry, like a fervent, devout believer.
"Archbishop Fawley also just sent an urgent message asking about His Eminence and the situation at Hogwarts!" Trevor Shacklebolt continued.
Catherine knelt beside Jerry, her fingers gently stroking his cheek. Her brows remained tightly knitted, however, and there was no telling what she was thinking.
Seeing this, Trevor Shacklebolt, who stood nearby, wisely kept quiet. He did not dare press her with questions either. A pall seemed to hang over the entire Slytherin Common Room, filling the air with an indescribable, deathly silence. Only when a faint sound came from the direction of the student dormitories did Catherine slowly raise her head, as though waking from a dream, and give Trevor instructions in a soft voice.
"I'll explain things to my grandfather. Keep an eye on the situation at Hogwarts for now. Every house will be in chaos tonight, and Dumbledore is sure to rush back. Watch him closely, and notify me if there's any news!"
