"Fred, George, are you two all right? You're not hurt, are you?" Hermione felt some of her tension ease when she saw the Weasley Twins.
She hurried over, hoping they could tell her something about what had happened. But the twins, usually so full of energy and mischief, looked unusually exhausted and weak. They slumped on a sofa, pale-faced and barely able to speak.
When Hermione approached, Fred and George managed faint smiles and greeted her weakly.
"We're fine! But Merlin's beard, I'm already in my fourth year and I still had a magical outburst! It feels awful!" George said, trying to make light of it.
"That's nothing. I just saw a seventh-year who's about to graduate pass out during the magical outburst. They carried him to the Hospital Wing!"
"How embarrassing. A seventh-year who can't even control the magic in his own body!"
"Stop!" Hermione cut off the twins' gossip. "I wanted to ask if either of you has seen Harry, Ron, or Neville."
Fred turned to George, a question in his eyes.
George nudged Fred with his shoulder and teased, "Why are you looking at me? You haven't got a clue, so why would you think I know where they are?"
George's words made Fred laugh. He nodded, finding the argument surprisingly sound.
"But where's Ginny? George, have you seen her? She's still young. Tonight's magical outburst must have been hard on her." Fred looked around for Ginny.
George shook his head. The two were about to get up and look for her when Percy hurried over and stopped them and Hermione.
