"The wounds on your son's face did have something to do with me, but his death had nothing to do with me!" Jerry glanced at Merovingian, who slumped against the wall with both arms broken, and shook his head.
By then, however, grief and rage had robbed Merovingian of his reason. He coughed up two mouthfuls of bloody phlegm and stared at Jerry, his eyes burning with hatred.

"He didn't kill him. Louis Merovingian's death had nothing to do with this boy!" Jasmina Garcia's voice rang out from the crowd. She pushed her way through, her expression grave. "I examined the wounds on Louis Merovingian's body carefully. His death was probably caused by a dark creature, something like a vampire."
Hearing that the killer might be a vampire, the people around them let out terrified screams.
"Please, everyone, stay calm! Stay calm!" A middle-aged man in fine clothes, evidently the manager of the cruise ship, stepped forward to reassure the crowd. "Madam, may I ask who you are?"

Jerry looked at Jasmina Garcia in surprise. The Department of Magical Law Enforcement was no minor department. In any country's Ministry of Magic, it ranked as either the largest or second-largest department, and Auror Command generally fell under its authority as well. Yet Jasmina Garcia looked quite young.
