On a weekend evening, soft lighting filled the room with warmth.
"Your Eminence, could you zip me up?" Catherine stood before the mirror. Her fair skin glowed softly under the lights, and her black evening gown showed off her graceful figure.
Jerry came up behind her, her lovely face reflected in his deep, blood-red eyes.
He gently drew up the zipper on the back of her gown, handling it as carefully as a precious work of art.
His fingertips brushed her smooth skin by accident, sending a jolt through his body.
"Your Eminence, are we going back to Britain the day after tomorrow?" Catherine watched their reflections in the mirror. Jerry stood tall behind her, his short black hair gleaming in the light. A faint smile touched his handsome face, making him look like a deity from Greek myth.
"Things went more smoothly than I expected." Jerry slipped his arms around Catherine from behind, his warm breath brushing her ear. "Besides, I still have to see Voldemort when we get back."
A trace of resignation entered his voice. He had planned to visit the Apostles' headquarters if time allowed, but it seemed too soon. Better to be cautious and wait.
Catherine sighed softly, her fragrant breath brushing Jerry's cheek.
She stroked the hands around her waist and leaned into his embrace. Then she kissed his cheek, her feelings tangled.
"And you have to take Granger to the Quidditch World Cup, don't you?" Her voice was quiet, but the words rippled through the calm between them.
Jerry stiffened, his arms tightening around her waist before he could stop himself.
"If you want to go, I can take you too!" He smiled, his tone easy, as if he hadn't caught the jealousy in her voice.
*Worst case, I'll go back and forth
