"What exactly happened?"
"Jerry, Harry and the others got into a confrontation with Malfoy's gang on the Quidditch Pitch. They're fighting over who gets to use it!"
"They're fighting?" Jerry asked curiously, a hint of excitement in his voice.
"I saw them draw their Wands before I left!" Hermione nodded vigorously.
"Seriously? Come on, let's go see!"
At Hermione's answer, Jerry grew excited. Instead of Hermione pulling Jerry along, Jerry was now pulling Hermione!
Jerry hadn't expected those Slytherin cowards to actually get into a fight with the Gryffindors just a few days into term.
They're in for it now. Snape's been seething over that business with Harry and Ron for days, with nowhere to vent! Even I steer clear whenever I see that gloomy face. Picking a fight now? You're walking straight into the line of fire!
At the Quidditch Pitch.
"Come over here, then!"
"Scarhead..."
When Jerry and Hermione arrived at the pitch, they found the "confrontation" Hermione had described: two groups trading insults from miles apart!
A few older students on either side had indeed drawn their Wands, but they were holding them to their throats and casting Amplifying Charms to drown out the other side!
Goddammit, what a letdown! That's what you're using your Wands for? Don't go around telling people you're Slytherins!
"This is your big emergency?"
Jerry pointed at the two groups yelling insults across the pitch and looked at Hermione.
"Well... I..." Hermione stood there, embarrassed. Had she jumped the gun?
"Snape's coming!" The commotion on the Quidditch Pitch had finally drawn Snape's attention. Interestingly, Lockhart was following him.
Surely Lockhart didn't see Snape's greasy hair and decide to sell him shampoo? No wonder Snape looks even grimmer than before. Lockhart, you're a freaking business genius!
