"How has Uchiha Fugaku been coming along?" Madara Uchiha hesitated a moment before asking.
Madara had assumed that, with no siblings and Kagami Uchiha's Mangekyō Sharingan in his possession, Uchiha Yi would eventually go blind no matter how strong he became. He could never truly reach his full potential. But if Yi really had fused with Hashirama Senju's Cells, would he still go blind?
His Eye Power might never rival Madara's, who had fused his eyes with Izuna's Mangekyō Sharingan to awaken the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. He might not be able to manifest Complete Body Susanoo either. But a Mangekyō Sharingan that did not lead to blindness would still be a serious problem.
"He's awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan and learned to use it well. He's also quite close to his cousin. I suspect that if his cousin died, there's a good chance Fugaku would awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan." Black Zetsu paused, then added, "Uchiha Fugaku cares deeply about others. He places great importance on the Uchiha Clan. In that respect, he seems different from Uchiha Yi."
Black Zetsu prided himself on his ability to judge people. Yi had been at Mito Uzumaki's side since childhood. Though he had also grown up among the Uchiha Clan, he might not care all that much about it. In that respect, he was much like Madara now.
Madara had once cared a great deal about the Uchiha Clan. But was he truly suited to be its leader? Not really. Uchiha Izuna had been far better suited to the role.
Of course, Madara had fought for the Uchiha Clan. But it was his Uchiha Clan he had fought for.
His father had been the clan's previous leader, and Madara himself had succeeded him. He had always treated the Uchiha Clan as something that belonged to
