But the more the Great Toad Sage thought about it, the more sense Uchiha Yi's words made. Given what he knew of the truth and of the Shinobi World, it all seemed to fit.
The bloodlines of the Shinobi World had indeed weakened, but its Ninja had developed a mature system of combat techniques. All manner of strange Ninjutsu had emerged. Even the Great Toad Sage had to admit that the Shinobi World was quite strong overall. If Asura and Indra's Chakra reincarnated and Hagoromo Otsutsuki awakened their powers, fighting a handful of Ōtsutsuki Clan members might not be impossible.
He wondered how things were progressing on Hamura Otsutsuki's side. Given Hamura Otsutsuki's abilities, there were probably plenty of exceptional people there too. They could become a main force against the Ōtsutsuki Clan in the future.
The Great Toad Sage knew something of Hagoromo Otsutsuki's plan: create the Pure Land and harvest the Chakra of the dead. Those people were already gone. Using what they left behind to nourish the Shinobi World did not seem so wrong.
If it came to the worst, Hagoromo could even summon every powerful Ninja who had ever lived to fight. To the Great Toad Sage, that seemed a sensible way to make full use of those resources.
Looking back, though, it seemed Hagoromo Otsutsuki had been doing exactly that!
