Tsunade was currently Konoha's strongest female ninja after Mito Uzumaki. She carried the blood of both the Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan, was highly capable in her own right, and was just the right age. It was a bit of a shame.
"Could the Senju Clan awaken the Sharingan too?" Nawaki asked, looking at Uchiha Yi with open curiosity.
Nawaki had always wanted the Sharingan. Back in Kirigakure, Uchiha Yi had practically hypnotized all those Mist Ninja with a single glance and a single Genjutsu. After that, all they had to do was walk up and slit their throats.
Nawaki had coveted the Sharingan ever since. Unfortunately, he was a Senju and couldn't awaken it. But from what Uchiha Yi was saying, it sounded as though he might be able to after all!
"Nawaki!" Tobirama Senju raised an eyebrow. Why was his little grandson so taken with the Sharingan?
What was so great about becoming a lunatic?
Look at the Senju Clan. Their minds were perfectly sound!
Well, perhaps not. His older brother wasn't exactly right in the head either. If Hashirama hadn't been his brother, Tobirama probably wouldn't have wanted anything to do with an idiot like him.
"But I really do think the Sharingan is useful," Nawaki muttered. He didn't dare look at his Second Grandfather. For some reason, the old man seemed especially strict.
"In theory, the Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan should carry the genes for the Sharingan too. They're simply recessive. If those genes could be completed, awakening the Sharingan wouldn't be impossible. The Byakugan might be possible as well," Uchiha Yi said after a moment's thought.
"Really? That's great!" Nawaki imagined awakening the Sharingan and trapping anyone he glared at in a Genjutsu. He couldn't help looking forward to it.
