The Battlefield Is Mine Now!

Yan raised his leg and kicked sideways. His foot slammed into the great bell with a whistling rush.

Dong!

The kick sent the bell skidding forward, knocking down several Iwagakure Ninja. Its toll made everyone on the battlefield clap their hands over their ears. Inside, eardrums ruptured, and blood slowly trickled out.

"Attack!"

An Iwagakure jonin ordered his teammates to throw every ninjutsu they had at Yan.

But Yan had already triggered Counterattack with his aura, gaining the boost from two Counterattacks at once.

"Fire Release: Dragon Flame Song Technique!"

His hands flashed through seals. His chest swelled, and he blasted several enormous dragon-headed flames forward!

Boom!

The Fire Release set off explosions across the field. Many Iwagakure Ninja who had yet to finish their seals died to the technique despite scrambling to escape.

The two trapped inside the bell were burned to death outright.

When Grab ended, the bell vanished, leaving only two corpses.

In a single exchange, Iwagakure's assault had ground to a halt. Every Iwagakure Ninja stared tensely at the boy before them.

Who the hell was he?

They soon had their answer. Yan slowly drew Crimson Sky. Tomoe appeared in his eyes, and flames ignited along the blade. The crimson sword and the boy's scarlet Sharingan said it all.

There was only one answer.

"Red Blade—Homura Uchiha!"

An Iwagakure jonin tightened his grip on his Ninja Blade and roared:

"Get him together! Kill him!"

Choza Akimichi recognized Yan too. Urgency filled his voice.

"Get down there and help!"

He leaped down, followed closely by several ninja who had suffered only minor injuries.

Before the Konoha Ninja could land, Yan shot toward the attacking Iwagakure Ninja like an arrow loosed from a bow.

The crimson blade flashed again and again. Yan wove through the battlefield like a reaper, claiming a life with every swing.

"Die!"

Ninja tools rained down on Yan from every direction. Explosive Tags were tied to the ends of many Kunai!

Choza's heart sank. He prepared to use Meat Bullet Impact to shield Yan from the barrage.

But Yan abruptly slashed at empty air below him, twisted with an elbow strike, then slid straight into the attack!

The Konoha Ninja's pupils contracted. The Iwagakure Ninja laughed at Yan's suicidal move.

Boom!

Their smiles froze. Yan emerged unharmed from the flames of the explosion, still holding the same pose!

The purple dog's turning Invincibility Frames!

The bizarre sight stunned everyone for a moment.

How was that possible? Even a Kage wouldn't dare take that many ninja tools head-on!

The Iwagakure Ninja's attack faltered. Yan instantly appeared before another of them and resumed his slaughter.

After cutting down several Iwagakure genin as easily as chopping vegetables, Yan turned and swung a Sun Halo Dance at the jonin wielding a Ninja Blade.

Clang!

Yan was surprised. Crimson Sky had been blocked.

He checked the power flowing through him and realized the Counterattack buff had worn off.

The Iwagakure Ninja gripped his blade, horror rising within him. Yan was only seven or eight, yet he could match a grown man's strength without giving an inch.

The ninja tried to hold Yan there until his comrades could surround him. But Yan released Crimson Sky, ducked low, and grabbed for his collar, bringing him face-to-face with the Sharingan!

Caught in Genjutsu, the Iwagakure Ninja suddenly stopped attacking Yan and turned his blade on a teammate.

"What are you doing?!"

After Yan repeated the trick several times, the Iwagakure Ninja fell into chaos. They grew hesitant, terrified of meeting those scarlet Sharingan eyes.

Yan's fingers flew through seals, and he unleashed a plain, straightforward Fire Release:

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

A fireball surged out, rolling waves of heat ahead of it.

Boom!

Several Iwagakure Ninja were swallowed by the flames in an instant. The smell of roasting flesh spread across the battlefield.

"A m-monster!"

Their morale shattered. The Iwagakure Ninja scattered and fled.

The surviving jonin retreated swiftly, struggling to rally the remnants and lead them back toward camp.

In less than ten minutes, the outpost was safe.

"Yan."

Choza was about to thank Yan for his help, but Yan cut him off.

"Jonin Akimichi, I'm taking command of this battlefield now!"

Choza froze. Yan continued:

"Is there a Jinchūriki or a Kage in the direction they're retreating?"

Choza shook his head.

"Then gather everyone who can still fight and follow me in pursuit!"

Without waiting for Choza's response, Yan raced after the fleeing enemy.

"Hey—"

Choza had no time to stop him. All he could do was rally the others and run after Yan.

Yan knew the value of pressing an advantage. He had entered the battlefield without warning, so Iwagakure could not have staged this retreat. With no top-tier fighter among them, he had to wipe out this force here.

Otherwise, the outpost would face endless harassment.

"Hah... hah..."

The Iwagakure Ninja, their Chakra badly depleted, gasped for breath. Their camp was just ahead, but then a nightmarish voice rang out behind them again:

"Uchiha Style: Sun Halo Dance!"

A fierce arc of flame tore through the air. Several Iwagakure Ninja who failed to dodge were sliced in half.

Fire still blazed along the blade as Yan swung another Sun Halo Dance.

"Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"

Bang!

Several earthen walls erupted from the ground and blocked the Flame Blade Aura.

Four figures leaped out of the camp and helped their injured comrades up, their expressions grim.

All four were among Iwagakure's few jonin.

More ninja were assembling inside the camp.

For a few seconds, the air seemed to freeze.

Whoosh—!

Arcs of electricity sprang from Yan's thigh. He appeared beside a jonin in an instant, swinging Crimson Sky straight at his neck.

Yan was so fast the jonin had no time to react.

Just as Crimson Sky was about to take his head, a cold glint entered Yan's peripheral vision.

Clang!

Yan changed the path of his swing midway and blocked the incoming Kunai.

"Earth Release: Mud Swamp!"

"Earth Release: Earth Spear!"

Their diversion had worked. The Iwagakure Ninja moved in perfect coordination: one technique bogged Yan down, while the other sent earth spears at him.

Yan reacted instantly. The moment the spears burst out, he pressed his palms together!

Dong!

His aura spread. The spears slowed drastically, and a great bell dropped over two Iwagakure Ninja.

Yan drew his blade, triggering Invincibility Frames to pass through the spears. Lightning Release Chakra erupted from him, and he became a streak of blue light hurtling toward the enemy.

"Human Bullet Tank!"

Choza rolled toward the Iwagakure Ninja like a massive ball, forcing one of them back.

The Human Bullet Tank drew the last uninjured Iwagakure Ninja's attention for less than a second. By the time he looked back, Yan had beheaded him with a single stroke!

Whoosh!

The ninja in camp finished assembling and hurled a steady stream of tools at Yan. Instead of retreating, he advanced, Crimson Sky flashing as he deflected them.

Dong!

Dong!

With Counterattack's triggers exhausted, Yan sheathed his blade and stepped back. He dipped his left shoulder, and a Kunai skimmed past his hair.

Dodge triggered!

Yan's strength surged severalfold in every respect!

Whoosh—!

Yan kicked off the ground and leaped into the air. His hands formed seals, and he unleashed a blast toward the Iwagakure camp.

Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique!

An enormous dragon-headed flame lunged ferociously at the camp.

Boom!

The fire dragon roared as it swallowed the Iwagakure camp. The blast echoed through the valley, sending waves of hot air rolling outward. Choza's pupils contracted at the sheer power of the Fire Release.

Was this Madara Uchiha reborn?

The two Iwagakure jonin trapped beneath the bell finally endured until Grab ended. The bell vanished, and a churning wave of heat hit them head-on.

They trembled and instinctively took a step back.

Still in the air, Yan turned and sent a Sun Halo Dance at the pair. After landing, he swiftly swung again.

The two dodged in haste, only to hear voices behind them:

"Chidori!"

"Rasengan!"

Bang!

One was pierced by Chidori. The other had his organs torn apart by Rasengan.

As the bodies fell, Yan's Shadow Clones vanished with a pop.

Choza and the arriving Konoha Ninja joined forces to take down the last Iwagakure jonin.

"W-we surrender!"

The chunin and genin who had survived the inferno in camp screamed as they dropped to their knees and submitted.

Iwagakure's advance force had been wiped out.

Bastard!

An hour later, Danzo gripped the battle report so tightly his hands shook. He had only ordered Yan to help defend the outpost, but the boy had disobeyed and launched an offensive.

Worse, he had won a crushing victory!

Danzo nearly ground his back teeth to dust. As for Yan, he had gone to find Anko.
