One person before her was the Jun Family's young master, and the other was the Ye Family's eldest miss. Her decision to hide things from Ye Chuqi now felt like a joke.
"Then start with the secret chamber in the Town Office. Why did you go there? What was inside? And who were the people who came out?"
Akes looked into the empty space behind Ye Chuqi. "Didn't your Shadow Guard tell you?"
"I didn't ask." She hadn't asked, so Xiao Wu hadn't told her. If Akes didn't want her to know, she could pretend she knew nothing.
Akes smiled bitterly. "I thought your Shadow Guard would at least mention it." She was Ye Chuqi's Shadow Guard, after all. She surely wouldn't keep it from her. "My family has some business in Mussel Bay too." She glanced at Jun Ruofeng. "Mussel Bay is in a strategic location. As a port town, goods and resources flow through it constantly.
