• The Glazed Vine hides tendrils beneath the ground and strikes intruders throughout its valley 31.
• It can erupt hundreds of tendrils at once, weave them into a closing net, and drag victims underground 32.
• Its attacks killed or wounded more than half of Wang Laoba’s thirty-person hunting party in under a minute 31 32.

Valuable parts

• Vines — naturally bind with ice and can be used as ropes to restrain Soul Beasts 30.
• Leaves — can cleanse impurities from meridians and remove Fire Poison and internal injuries 30.
• Vine Heart — can accelerate future cultivation, though it does not normally grant an immediate increase in cultivation level 30.

Story Role

• Wang Laoba leads thirty Soul Masters into the Frozen Forest to hunt the rare Glazed Vine for profit. Lin Ye and Shui Bing’er overhear their plans and follow at a distance 30 31.
• The hunters find it alone in a valley and begin plucking its leaves. Its hidden tendrils attack, revealing that the entire valley is its territory 31.
• An Elephant Armor Sect force advances through the vine attacks, uproots the main stem, and collects its branches, leaves, and heart 32.
• Lin Ye steals the Storage Soul Tool holding the harvest. He later returns to the valley with Shui Bing’er, and they share the Vine Heart. Its energy helps him break through to Soul Saint because he was already near the peak of level 69 33 35.
