The heavens had collapsed!
Li Changqing only felt as though the entire universe was spinning!
He was originally a miserable civil engineering college student in the twenty-first century, constantly worrying about where he would go after graduation.
Today, his roommates invited him to go mountain climbing. Li Changqing felt that staying in the dorm would accomplish nothing besides worrying anyway, so he agreed to go along and clear his mind.
Upon reaching the summit, it happened to be sunset, and the beautiful red clouds caught his eye. He was just taking out his phone, intending to capture this gorgeous sunset on camera.
What he failed to notice, however, was that someone with zero civic-mindedness had thrown a banana peel right on the summit, and right by the edge of the cliff at that.
Li Changqing walked toward the cliff with his phone, the camera lens aimed straight at the setting sun, entirely unaware of the banana peel ahead.
His roommates spotted the banana peel at that moment and shouted loudly to warn him to watch his step.
"Son, watch your feet!"
"Careful with the banana peel!"
"Old Qing, there's a banana peel by your feet!"
Alas, it was already too late.
Li Changqing's left foot had already stepped onto the banana peel, and his whole body lunged forward instantly.
His heart instantly turned cold, leaving behind only a reluctant, "Fuck!" in the end.
His entire body tumbled through the air, which was why he felt the entire universe spinning.
Frightened out of his wits, Li Changqing closed his eyes tight, already preparing to welcome his own death. He even imagined the scene of his body scattered in pieces here and there after hitting the ground.
Yet the anticipated feeling of crashing into the earth never arrived; instead, it felt like passing through some kind of layer.
What followed closely was an indescribable pulling sensation.
When he opened his eyes, he discovered that there were no longer any mountains or sunsets before him. As far as the eye could see was boundless darkness, with occasional flashes of light and shadow resembling shattered mirrors.
Li Changqing was currently inside a Spacetime Black Hole, and those shattered lights and shadows were different fragments of time and space.
Across those fragments, he caught sight of future cities, ancient battlefields, and even himself dozing off in a high school classroom.
Li Changqing drifted like this, not knowing how much time had passed.
This pitch-black space suddenly shook violently, and a massive rift appeared.
A few terrifying auras rushed over from the other side of the rift, causing his soul to tremble.
Before he could react—and of course, there was nothing he could do anyway.
A massive suction force surged from the rift, and like a falling leaf, he was sucked toward the other side.
"Boom!"
He finally slammed heavily onto the ground.
Li Changqing felt as though his internal organs had all shifted out of place, and a searing pain coursed through his body as he spat out a large mouthful of fresh blood.
This land was dark red, as if it had been drenched by countless streams of fresh blood.
He struggled to get up, then raised his head, the scene before him leaving him utterly dumbfounded. His eyes widened into circles, as though he had laid eyes on something terrifying.
The sky was shattered, densely packed with countless rifts.
Heart-stopping fluctuations swept over from time to time, and those ripples caused even the earth to quake.
Mountains of unknown height were uprooted and sent flying into the high heavens, only to be obliterated by invisible forces, leaving behind nothing at all.
In the boundless void, stars were plummeting one by one, violently smashing into the earth and triggering earth-shattering explosions. Endless dust surged into the sky, blotting out the sun.
Between heaven and earth, countless figures resembling gods and demons were locked in a fierce battle.
There were giants with human bodies and snake tails, wielding a Divine Axe, able to split the void apart with every single swing;
There were lava giants covered all over in burning black scales, spewing endless magma from their mouths;
There were divine maidens with wings on their backs, spitting golden flames from their mouths. Wherever the divine fire passed, even the void was ignited.
And even more numerous were the creatures shrouded in black mist, each taking bizarre and varied shapes.
Some resembled huge spiders with three heads, each head completely different; other creatures were similarly bizarre beyond compare, some with human bodies and centipede heads, and others like world-destroying beasts.
Yet without exception, every single one of these figures radiated a terrifying aura, each far surpassing imagination.
The divine abilities they casually unleashed could destroy a planet, or even a star system, or an entire universe!
This was the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, and the sights before him were the duel between the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths and the Foreign Realm at the end of the Immortal Ancient Era!
However, Li Changqing knew none of this; his heart was already pounding wildly, terrified by the apocalyptic scene before his eyes.
He was merely an ordinary person, and upon sensing the terrifying auras of those figures, he could do nothing at all.
He could only silently curl up on the ground, not daring to move a muscle, praying that those powerful beings would ignore him as a mere ant.
Right at that moment.
"Screeech—!"
A cry that shook the heavens and earth echoed from the boundless horizon, and immediately after, a gigantic golden Divine Peng swooped down.
Its body blotted out the sky, as though capable of covering the entire firmament.
Its golden feathers contained immensely formidable power, their edges gleaming with intricate patterns; its eyes were like two golden suns, shooting forth an incomparably scorching aura.
The next moment, the body of the golden Divine Peng underwent a drastic change as the golden feathers receded, replaced by thick black skin, and its wings transformed into massive fins.
Its body continuously expanded, finally turning into a colossal Kun that spanned the heavens and earth.
Opening its mouth, it seemed capable of swallowing the entire world.
Kun Peng!
Li Changqing's eyes widened as he recognized the identity of this colossal beast.
Yet the condition of the Kun Peng was far from good, its entire body covered in bone-deep wounds from which golden blood continuously flowed.
Surrounding the Kun Peng were seven powerful beings shrouded in black mist, who tightly encircled it and continuously unleashed formidable attacks.
Their intention to hunt and kill the Kun Peng was self-evident.
These seven were all Immortals from the Foreign Realm, and moreover powerhouses among Immortals who could be called quasi-Immortal Kings, while the Kun Peng being hunted was precisely one of the Ten Fiends of the Immortal Ancient Era, the strongest of the Kun Peng clan, the Kun Peng King.
The leading Immortal let out a cold snort, carrying a seductive intent.
"Kun Peng, you have nowhere left to run. Your innate talent is exceptionally strong, and you possess the qualifications to become an Immortal King. I advise you to surrender to our realm. The Immortal Kings of our realm once stated that if you surrender, you may independently establish an Emperor Clan."
Then his voice turned icy: "Otherwise, we shall surely extract your soul and torture you day and night!"
"Hmph, Foreign Realm scum, you want to make me bow my head? Delusional!" The Kun Peng King cold-snorted, his voice filled with monstrous rage: "Throughout my life of battle, I have slain countless Foreign Realm Immortals; when have I ever bowed my head to anyone? Today, you of the Foreign Realm have invaded our Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, exterminating countless races."
"Another day, someone will surely come to settle accounts with the lot of you. Even if I die today, I will drag you scum down to be buried with me!"
Li Changqing could not understand what these powerful figures were saying at all, yet from their tones he could sense that hair-trigger atmosphere.
He had watched with his own eyes as the powerhouses originally fighting in this place had moved to another location to continue their battle the moment these figures descended.
From this he guessed that these figures were far more powerful than those entities from just now, exceeding the scope of his cognition.
He dared not act rashly again, fearing he would be noticed.
