While Luffy and the other two were diving to search the wreck, Robin was pressing Rubick for information about Sky Island.
Rubick gave Robin and the others a brief account of what he remembered about Sky Island. Then strange chants drifted over from the distance.
"Salvage away! Salvage away!"
There was rhythmic music, too. It sounded like cymbals—two hat-shaped brass discs clashed together.
Usopp peered through his telescope. "There's a whole crew of... weird... monkeys?"
Rubick flew higher and spotted a ship nearly five times the size of the Going Merry heading their way. The grating racket was coming from its crew.
A monkey holding two cymbals adorned the ship's bow. Banana-shaped devices lined its sides, and a pirate flag bearing a monkey's head flew overhead.
"Pweeeet!"
At the blast of a whistle, a huge man with a powerful upper body who looked like a monkey shouted, "All hands!"
The sailors roared back, "Aye-aye, sir!"
"Aye-aye?" Nami asked.
Robin, who knew a thing or two, said, "It's a kind of lemur. Quite ugly. Looks a lot like that captain over there."
Robin's jab was merciless.
"Is this where the wreck went down?" the captain called.
"That's right, Kindergarten Principal!"
"Prepare to salvage! Every sunken ship belongs to me! Ook-ook!"
His sailors howled with excitement. "Ook-ook!"
Rubick exchanged glances with the others. That ship felt less like a pirate vessel and more like a floating zoo.
They were watching the monkey show when the captain shouted, "Hey! What are you doing here? This is my territory!"
Only then did they get a clear look at him. His mouth was flat and jutted forward. Now that they could see him properly, he looked less like a monkey than a duck.
"I'm serious," he said. "Every wreck in these waters is mine. Keep
