That slash came from one of the world's strongest fighters, a swordsman at the very top. Almost everyone could feel the edge it carried.
The top swordsmen felt it most keenly. That single slash told them Roger was a true Great Swordsman.
Many people's impressions of Roger still rested on the battle that had made him famous: the destruction of a kingdom that had spread his name as the "Devil."
With the Rocks Pirates no longer holding him back, he had only become active in the past couple of years.
The terrifying slash bore down with unstoppable force. If no one stopped it, there was no telling what it would do to the port.
Fortunately, Titan the Taotie stepped in.
Even so, some people hurried toward either side of the port.
Titan charged straight at the slash. The enormous mouth on his abdomen opened like the maw of the Abyss, as though it would devour everything. Boundless devouring power poured from it.
Gulp!
A shocking sight unfolded.
The Taotie's mouth opened and closed, and the slash vanished, swallowed into the space within Titan's body.
The spreading abyss came to an abrupt halt, as if cut off halfway.
The sea began to settle, its violent currents rushing back toward the center.
Wave after wave rose.
But that alone was not enough to affect the ships in the port.
The berths were fixed in place.
Ships of different sizes had berths built to different specifications.
Chains secured each ship so it could not drift far, while the posts on either side were coated in layers of special rubber.
Even if the waves drove a ship into a post, it would not be damaged.
Was that really all it took to end it?
It had come with such force, only to fizzle out
