"Go home first."
"We'll talk when you come tomorrow."
"Okay."
Naruto replied without looking back, then took Hinata's hand and stepped through the Light Gate, disappearing from sight.
He was still a little surprised that Sasuke had come looking for him.
After all, judging by Sasuke's former proud and arrogant demeanor, he would probably only have thought of ways to become stronger on his own. Why would he ever come running to Naruto?
But Naruto really did need a teammate. If Sasuke's strength could not keep up with his, then Naruto would have to go from soloing the Akatsuki all the way to soloing the Otsutsuki Clan.
They could clearly form a party and take on raids together, so why bother with all that effort of going solo?
Besides, Sasuke could be said to have the biggest cheat aside from himself. Training him would not take much time, either.
Once the two of them had fully powered up, it would not matter whether it was Momoshiki Otsutsuki or Isshiki. They could take on as many as came.
The moment he passed through the Space Gate and arrived at the Hyuga Clan Grounds, Naruto saw Hiashi Old Man standing in the middle of the main gate with his arms crossed. Even from far away, he could smell the anger radiating off the man.
When Hiashi saw Naruto and Hinata, he said nothing. He simply stood there and stared at the two of them.
And it was not just him. Once the Hyuga Clan members noticed them, they all came outside and stared at Naruto in unison.
The bulging veins around their temples made it clear that every member of the Hyuga Clan had activated their Byakugan.
The atmosphere immediately turned grave, and Hinata felt like she could barely breathe.
Naruto felt as though he had accidentally wandered into some gang's hideout. The only difference was that this group of Hyuga Clan members was not holding machetes.
He was genuinely worried that some Hyuga Clan member might jump out the next second and shout something like, "Boss!" or "Chop this brat to death!"
"F-Father..."
Hinata lowered her head and timidly walked up to Hiashi. As she walked, she kept glancing back at Naruto from time to time.
Naruto felt as though the temperature around him had dropped quite a bit more.
"Where did you go?"
Hiashi's words were directed at Hinata, but his gaze remained fixed on a certain blond brat.
In the eyes of the Hyuga Clan...
Their young lady had followed some blond brat out to fool around after school, and only came home after it had gotten dark...
This blond brat was already doing something like this at six or seven years old. They did not even dare imagine what he might do in the future!
If the clan head had not strictly ordered them not to lay a hand on the blond brat, they would have rushed up and taught this kid a lesson long ago.
Who cared if he was the Fourth Hokage's son or the Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki?
"I... I..."
Faced with her stern father, Hinata lowered her head and could not speak for a moment.
Today was the first time in all this while that she had come home so late.
"Hinata went training with me."
"From now on, she'll be with me after school."
Naruto smiled and explained to Hyuga Hiashi with an innocent expression.
As for whether Hiashi Old Man had listened, Naruto had no idea.
However, he did notice that Hiashi Old Man had activated his Byakugan after hearing him.
"Go back."
"Your mother is waiting for you in the living room."
Hiashi glared fiercely at the blond brat in front of him, then led his daughter back inside.
Seeing this, the surrounding Hyuga Clan members also left one after another.
Yet every one of them wore a deeply regretful expression, as though they regretted not getting the chance to make a move against that blond brat.
Following behind her father, Hinata turned back and smiled at Naruto, then lightly waved twice in farewell.
She did not dare make too large a movement, afraid that her father ahead of her would notice.
Naruto returned her smile.
Only after watching her go back did Naruto summon a Space Gate and head home for dinner.
That night, he spent several more hours clearing away the trash in the small grove.
Then, he took out Oak Trees and Spruce Trees from the system space and forcibly planted them nearby to serve as training equipment in the future.
Trees were incredibly useful, after all.
He could use them as punching bags for training, and later, he could use them for tree-walking exercises to train his Chakra control.
And if he wanted to get rich, he could not do without them either!
By around midnight, East of the Village Head had returned to the dense woods it had once been.
Because of the system's external adaptation rules, the trees Naruto planted looked no different from the other trees.
When the Third Hokage heard the Anbu report that Naruto had created an entire forest in less than one night, with efficiency comparable to Hashirama Senju, he did not know whether to laugh or cry.
He was indeed very happy that Naruto could restore the environment he had previously destroyed...
But he really did not like Naruto farming!
Why was this child always picking fights with wood all day long?
And that strange Kekkei Genkai of his...
The Third Hokage felt that this child's talent for farming was greater than his talent for being a ninja.
He had figured it out now. Unless something major happened, he absolutely would not use the Crystal Ball to check on this child anymore. He would listen to the Anbu reports instead, so he could at least feel a little better.
If he kept watching every day like before...
The Third Hokage truly felt that he would not live to see Jiraiya return to the village.
The next morning, Naruto went to class as usual, checked in, and stared blankly into space.
Sometimes, he felt truly hopeless about his absurd physique.
Yesterday, he had dragged trees around all afternoon, fought Sasuke in the evening, then cleaned up the site and planted a forest at night.
By the time he got home, he had felt as exhausted as a dead dog. Even moving a finger had felt miserable.
Yet when he woke up the next day, he was perfectly fine. He could not even find an excuse to skip training.
Seeing him like this, Teacher Kurama even wanted to raise the intensity some more...
