Changes to the System

Uchiha En's gaze lingered on the cliff face for a moment.

Since the village's founding, there had never been an Uchiha face carved into that cliff.

This was the first.

He looked away and faced the sea of people filling the square.

He spoke quietly, but chakra carried his voice clearly to every corner of the square:

"Konoha was built by the Senju and the Uchiha together."

"That was written on the very first page of the village's history. No one can change it."

The square fell utterly silent.

"But today, I want to talk about something else."

He paused.

"Konoha didn't get where it is today on the strength of the Senju alone, or the Uchiha alone."

"It got here because of every person in Konoha."

"The civilian shinobi patrolling with the Konoha Military Police Force, the ordinary shinobi keeping watch on the streets, the farmers working their fields, the merchants running their shops, the mothers busy at their stoves..."

"They're the ones who have held Konoha up."

"I'm sure you've all seen the reforms we've made to the Konoha Military Police Force."

"Starting today, I'll begin even greater reforms throughout Konoha."

"So that everyone who has contributed to Konoha can stand tall here."

"So that every household can live in peace."

"These reforms will benefit everyone in Konoha."

His words ended.

For a moment, the square stayed silent.

Then—

"Yes!"

Tsume Inuzuka was the first to roar. She slapped the railing beside her so hard it hummed:

"Well said, Uchiha En! I knew I wasn't wrong about you!"

"That's right!"

"Let's give the people of Konoha a better life!"

Cheers rose one after another from the Hyuga, Yamashita, Yuki, and the rest of the Uchiha camp.

In the Konoha Military Police Force's ranks, Murakami Hayato stood with reddened
