This shouldn't be happening!!
Everyone watching Russell was filled with disbelief.
The Infinity Gauntlet, armed with all Six Infinity Stones, could erase half the universe's population with a snap and sweep away anything in its path. Thanos's army turning to ash was proof enough.
Anything except Russell.
His clothes were undamaged, his hair undisturbed. He was spotless, without so much as a speck of dust on him.
In short, he was perfectly fine.
He stood there unharmed, as though the ultimate power that had just wiped out half the universe's living beings hadn't even amounted to a breeze.
Tony, Captain America, Doctor Strange... Every one of the strongest fighters stared wide-eyed, their minds blank.
"Impossible..."
"That's absolutely impossible!"
"A Snap powered by all Six Infinity Stones could pass judgment on the entire universe! How could it fail to hurt him at all?!"
Disbelief covered every face. Everything they thought they knew had been crushed.
Russell stood there without a trace of shock. If anything, he looked distinctly dissatisfied.
He had planned to wait and see whether Thor, wielding the gauntlet, could produce some unexpected result, or unlock some hidden potential in the stones like Infinity Ultron had.
After all, Thor was the Prince of Asgard, born with divine power from the World Tree.
Compared with an ordinary human like Tony or Banner, whose powers came from gamma radiation, Thor should theoretically have been the best match for the Infinity Stones and the most likely to push them beyond their usual limits.
But the result was underwhelming.
Compared with Thanos, whose boundless ambition and obsession had driven him to the end, Thor had fallen far short.
Russell shook his head to himself, disappointed.
Across the battlefield, Thor refused to let it end there. He forced his battered, overtaxed body back up.
