This man looked familiar

Korath shifted his gaze from Thanos and the Black Order to the handsome man strolling along the edge of the ruins.

The man had his hands in his pockets and walked with a light step, as if he were strolling in his own backyard.

A purple sky, two suns, a lava rift erupting in the distance, and cosmic creatures hovering in the sky.

All of these things seemed to be just some insignificant background to him.

Korath stared at the man, his brows furrowing deeper and deeper.

"I feel like I've seen him somewhere before," Korath whispered.

"He looks somewhat familiar."

"What?" The Warship's navigator turned around.

"I said this man looks familiar."

Korath tapped his fingers on the tactical table, trying to retrieve that vague impression from the depths of his memory.

Then the communications officer's voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Commander, according to the latest sensor readings, the silver humanoid figure in the image is exhibiting the same energy fluctuations as the Tyrant's Herald."

Korath turned his head sharply.

"The same energy fluctuations?"

"Yes, although the frequency and intensity are different, the core characteristics are completely consistent. According to our database comparison, this guy is also a Herald of Galactus."

Upon hearing this, Korath was completely distraught.

One Herald of Galactus is already difficult enough to deal with.

The Tyrant's Herald single-handedly destroyed four special forces units of the Shi'ar Empire.

And now, a second Herald of Galactus has appeared on this Planet.

Furthermore, this Herald of Galactus has connections to Thanos.

They stood together and looked like they were in cahoots.

He didn't know why a Herald of Galactus would be hanging out with Thanos, nor did he know what these people were up to.

But things spiraled out of control.

"Commander," the communications officer's voice trembled, "What should we do?"

Korath was silent for a moment, then made a decision.

"Send the images back to the Shi'ar Empire headquarters, and at the same time send back the images of these people, their energy readings, and all the data."

"Inform headquarters that an unknown third force has appeared in Kree Lal, and the situation is now far more complex than simply saving it through interstellar migration."

"Yes."

"Then we'll continue monitoring. Ideally, they'll both fight, and we'll decide on our next step when they're both severely weakened."

"Clear."

After giving the order, Korath turned around and faced the main screen.

In the scene, the man who was taking a walk suddenly stopped, looked up, and gazed at the sky.

His face held a casualness, composure, and an almost playful calm that Korath couldn't comprehend.

On the edge of the ruined city of Kree Lal, Ebony Maw also raised its head.

His gaze seemed to pierce through the purple sky, through the swirling cosmic creatures, and land on a Warship belonging to the Shi'ar Empire, hovering in a synchronous orbit.

"Your Majesty," Ebony Maw turned to Thanos, his voice carrying a hint of inquiry.

"Do you need me to deal with those people secretly monitoring us?"

Thanos didn't look up; his eyes remained fixed on the ruined city in the distance as he calmly spoke.

"No need, these people pose no danger to us."

Ebony Maw frowned slightly, but did not press the matter further.

Suddenly, a cold voice rang in everyone's ears.

"Silver Surfer."

The voice was deep and hoarse, like two rocks rubbing against each other, or like a cold, sharp blade piercing one's chest.

Spider-Man's Spider-Sense suddenly kicked in.

He turned his head and saw a figure standing in front of Silver Surfer.

The Tyrant's Herald has arrived.

A massive amount of liquid metal solidified into armor on its body, with sharp bone spurs on its shoulders and rock-like scales covering its arms.

He looked like an invincible killing machine.

He suddenly appeared in front of Silver Surfer, the two less than three meters apart, the Tyrant's Herald's eyes, swirling with lava light, held something close to rage.

"Silver Surfer," the Tyrant's Herald's voice was cold, "Weren't you supposed to be looking for a suitable Planet for Lord Galactus? What are you doing here? Could it be... that you want to take my territory?"

Faced with the other party's questioning, Silver Surfer, who was at odds with him, responded in the same cold tone.

I can go wherever I want, and that's none of your business.

The Tyrant's Herald's lips twitched slightly, his fist clenched, then relaxed.

"Can't I control you?" he repeated. "Silver Surfer, who do you think you are? You think that just because Lord Devourer of Galactus gave you Cosmic Energy, you can stand on equal footing with me?"

I became an envoy before you, I served Lord Devourer of Galactus earlier than you, I...

"You started killing before I did," Silver Surfer interrupted him. "You started enjoying watching civilizations crumble before your eyes before you even began, and you started taking pleasure in destruction much earlier than I did."

The Tyrant's Herald narrowed his eyes slightly.

Then he turned his head and glanced at Thanos, Russell, Spider-Man, and the Black Order standing behind him.

"What are you doing bringing these people here?" the Tyrant's Herald asked. "You don't mean to let Lord Devourer of Galactus devour them all, do you?"

A son of a Titan, a man from who-knows-where, a useless guy in a bodysuit, and five cosmic conquerors.

He paused.

"The energy these people possess is indeed considerable; Lord Devourer of Galactus could serve as an appetizer, but why didn't you inform me beforehand? Why didn't you follow the proper procedures?"

Before Silver Surfer could answer, Spider-Man spoke first.

"Hi!" he said, raising one hand with a playful tone in his voice.

"My name is Spider-Man, a friendly neighbor in New York City, not some useless guy in a bodysuit, I should correct that."

"But we're not here today to be devoured by Galactus; on the contrary, we're here to defeat Galactus."

The Tyrant's Herald stared at Spider-Man in astonishment.

"What did you say?"

"I said," Spider-Man took a deep breath, "We're here to defeat Galactus."

Although I had serious doubts about whether I could do it, my friends said I could, so I came. You know how friends support each other.

The Tyrant's Herald was silent for two seconds, then he laughed.

Laughter echoed through the ruined city, carrying a sharp, Tyrant mockery.

His shoulders were trembling slightly from laughing.

"You..." He stopped, then looked at Spider-Man, "You want to defeat Galactus? With your abilities? That's the funniest joke I've ever heard in my travels throughout the universe. And you..."

He turned his head and looked at the Silver Surfer.

"You are a traitor."

Silver Surfer's starlight pupils rotated slightly.

"I knew you were unreliable." The Tyrant's Herald's voice carried a chilling, almost murderous intent.

"From the moment you were first given Cosmic Energy by Lord Galactus, I knew you were utterly unworthy to be Herald of Galactus."

"And now you have indeed betrayed Lord Devourer of Galactus and sided with these foods."

"But that's perfect."

He stretched out his hand, and dark red energy began to condense in his palm.

"There's no need for Lord Galactus to intervene," the Tyrant's Herald said coldly. "I can annihilate you all on my own."
