The doctor stared wide-eyed at the blue-green scales on the woman's arm. "It was you. You must have tampered with it. You're finished."

Russell snapped his fingers lightly, and the noisy doctor froze in place.

Magneto saw Russell make his move. Though the arrogant doctor irritated him, he merely folded his arms and hovered in the air. Spider-Man covered his forehead, privately lamenting his rotten luck today.

"Don't say I didn't give you a chance. Try it again, in front of everyone."

Russell tossed the doctor a fresh vial in full view of the crowd, but the doctor couldn't move his hand.

"Oh, sorry." Russell raised an eyebrow and released his hold. The doctor could move his left hand again.

The doctor's hand shook. He picked a vial from a nearby table, but his hand trembled so badly that he missed the syringe several times while trying to pour the liquid in.

After considerable effort, he finally filled the syringe. He stared at the blue liquid, his eyes bloodshot. Then he swabbed the arm of the woman who had volunteered for another injection and drove the needle into her skin.

He pressed the plunger, sending the pale-blue liquid into her vein.

The doctor waited anxiously for it to take effect.

He refused to believe Russell had ruined every vial in such a short time.
