Seven Defeats of Sasuke and a Mysterious Reward (Please Vote for This Novel)

The black markings of Sasuke's Cursed Seal rapidly spread across his body, while the purple Chakra around him blazed ever brighter.

Even Sasuke's Hand Seals had grown faster. In less than a second, he spat out more than a dozen fireballs that shot straight at Naruto.

"Sasuke, don't!" Sakura shouted, trying to stop him, but it was no use.

The commotion drew Team Neji and Ino-Shika-Cho over from nearby. They hid in the distance, staring at Sasuke in shock.

Naruto had already finished his Hand Seals. At the sight of the fireballs, he clapped his hands, sending a Hurricane straight toward them.

"Wind Release: Hurricane!"

The Hurricane scattered every fireball, exposing the Shuriken hidden inside each one before blowing them away as well.

But Sasuke hadn't used Fire Release expecting it to hit Naruto. He had used it to conceal his movements.

In the blink of an eye, Sasuke appeared behind Naruto and slashed his Kunai viciously toward the back of Naruto's neck.

Naruto spun around and caught Sasuke's Kunai with his own, producing a sharp ring.

"Sasuke, you're really not holding back!"

Naruto stared at him and complained irritably.

"Hmph! I'll beat you this time!" Sasuke said coldly. He drew another Kunai with his left hand and moved to stab Naruto.

"Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu!"

Just then, a pair of hands burst from the ground beneath Sasuke. They seized his ankles and dragged him underground, leaving only his head exposed.

Naruto swung his right foot at Sasuke's head without hesitation, as though kicking a ball.

Boom!

The purple Chakra around Sasuke erupted, striking Naruto with almost tangible force and sending him flying backward. Sasuke sprang out of the ground and charged after him.

With Sasuke bearing down on him, Naruto remained calm even in midair. At a thought, more than a dozen Shadow Clones appeared around him. They formed Hand Seals together, finishing just as they landed, then shouted at Sasuke in unison:

"Wind Release: Hurricane!"

This move had defeated Sasuke many times before. Seeing it again, he couldn't help sneering.

He flashed out of the attack's path and appeared behind the Shadow Clones. His hands raced through Hand Seals, and he spat more than a dozen fireballs at them.

Naruto's Shadow Clones had no time to dodge. The fireballs struck them one after another, and they vanished.

But Naruto himself was nowhere among them. Sasuke's heart jolted, and he moved to leap upward.

Naruto jumped down from a nearby tree and drove a fierce kick at Sasuke as he rose.

Thud!

Sasuke's body turned into a section of wood. He had used the Substitution Technique at the last moment and escaped to the side.

But against Naruto's extraordinary senses, an enemy's Substitution Technique was of little use.

The moment Naruto sensed Sasuke using it, he used the Substitution Technique as well and headed toward Sasuke's hiding place.

Sasuke landed in a nearby tree. Seeing Naruto still in midair after kicking his wooden substitute, he snorted and hurled two Kunai at him without hesitation.

To his shock, the Naruto struck by the Kunai was also a wooden substitute!

"Sasuke, you've lost again!"

"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura cried in anguish. She rushed over, gathered him in her arms, and began bandaging his wounds.

Looking at Sasuke's battered body, she wanted to blame Naruto. But Sasuke had started the fight, and he hadn't held back against Naruto either.

With the battle over, Neji, Rock Lee, Tenten, and the three members of Ino-Shika-Cho, who had watched from afar, were left stunned.

But as one of the timid trio, Ino didn't dare go over. She and Naruto had never gotten along, and she was afraid he might attack them and take their Scroll. Reluctantly, she turned and left.
