Yukie was actually the princess of the Land of Snow. Unfortunately, more than a decade ago, her uncle Kazahana Dōtō had staged a coup and killed her father.

Luckily, Kakashi had been there to protect the young Yukie and help her escape.

Their client this time was Yukie's manager, Asama Sandayu. A loyal retainer of the Land of Snow, he was determined to help her reclaim the throne.

As the film crew happened to be traveling to the Land of Snow for a shoot, Asama Sandayu had hired the Konoha Ninja to protect Yukie and seize the chance to defeat Kazahana Dōtō.
