"If you've got something to say, say it already!"
After waiting ages without an answer, the Third Hokage looked up impatiently, ready to give the visitor a scolding.
But the moment he met Uchiha Yin's provocative gaze, he swallowed the words on his lips.
Seeing the Third's sour expression, Uchiha Yin raised an eyebrow. "Are you really that busy, Lord Third? Want me to help you out?"
Hiruzen Sarutobi caught the teasing look on Uchiha Yin's face and retorted irritably, "Since when did you have a child this big? Why didn't I know? Did you bring her here for a gift of money?"
Uchiha Yin set Kurotsuchi on the desk in front of the Hokage. "This is Kurotsuchi, Ōnoki's granddaughter!"
The Third Hokage's eyes widened instantly.
He sprang from his chair and pulled Uchiha Yin aside. "Why did you bring her here? Are you trying to cause trouble?"
As he spoke, the Hokage gave Uchiha Yin a reproachful look.
His eyes practically said, Are you an idiot?
Uchiha Yin could only sigh helplessly at the Third's question.
"Lord Hokage, don't tell me you don't know where I've been these past two days!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi was obviously playing dumb, and Uchiha Yin felt an urge to hit someone.
Seeing that Uchiha Yin had no intention of playing along, the Third Hokage dropped his joking expression.
"You brought her back, fine. But why bring her to me?"
He sat back down, looking at Kurotsuchi on his desk with open reluctance.
Of course Uchiha Yin knew what Hiruzen Sarutobi meant.
He slapped his palm down on the Third's desk. "I did this for the village's benefit. Are you sure you want me to handle her myself?"
He fixed the Hokage with a dangerous look as he spoke.
