Uchiha Yin wore a solemn expression as he spoke.
He sounded as though he were merely asking a routine question.
But Anko did not look like someone he could brush off so easily.
Her eyes were fixed on his hand clasped around Kurotsuchi's.
"Master Yin, who is this girl?"
It was a question, but from Anko's mouth, it sounded like a challenge.
Chapter 534: A Jealous Anko
Uchiha Yin knew exactly how fiery Anko's temper was, and despair flashed across his face.
Even so, he pretended to be unruffled.
"Oh, you've been away on a mission these past few days, so you probably haven't heard. Let me introduce you. This is Kurotsuchi, from Iwagakure!"
He paused briefly. "She'll be living here in Konoha from now on!"
At that point, Uchiha Yin seemed to have trouble getting the rest out.
Anko, however, had no intention of letting it go.
"Oh, okay. Is that all?"
Uchiha Yin kept his expression steady. "To be precise, she'll be living with me!"
Anko folded her arms and glared at him.
"Master Yin, is there anything else you're leaving out?"
Uchiha Yin was struck speechless. His lips felt as though they had been glued shut; no matter how he tried, he could not get a word out.
Watching from beside him, Kurotsuchi grew anxious.
She did not know why, but she instinctively felt that the pretty girl before her was deeply hostile toward her.
Kurotsuchi might have been far from home, but she was proud and refused to back down. Being stared at like that naturally did not sit well with her.
"I'm also Master's student. That's all there is to it!"
The moment Kurotsuchi said it, Uchiha Yin wanted to bury his face in his hands.
For the sake of his image, he held back.
