After hearing the news, Ilis opened her eyes, a faint smile of interest appearing on her face.
"Julie Myers. Interesting."
"I remember she had a powerful SS-Class Pleasure Build skill."
"That little brother of mine seems to be going for a Pleasure Build."
"These coordinates... aren't they near Twin Sun Star?"
"In other words, this intelligence was based on the information I just analyzed?"
At that thought, Ilis sat up slightly and picked up another Communicator.
Keepers generally had three Communicators.
One was for normal communication with colleagues in the Criminal Department.
One was for Keepers to share intelligence with their superiors, such as department heads, and receive orders.
The last was for ordinary communication with the outside world.
Normally, Communicators used for outside contact were subject to restrictions.
Contacting anyone outside required an application and a suitable reason.
That was also why Ilis had not contacted him lately.
It was simply too much trouble.
"This seems like a good excuse."
Ilis picked up the Communicator and called the switchboard.
"Keeper Barrett, please state whom you wish to contact and your reason."
The operator on the other end gave a calm, standard response.
Ilis said, "I wish to contact Su Yi Horus Constantine Gheros."
"I just heard the Criminal Department's wanted bounty announcement."
"I happen to have a contact in that field and need to speak with him."
The operator nodded. "Su Yi... Gheros. Identity confirmed."
Then a noticeable change crept into the operator's tone.
"Miss Barrett, may I ask what your relationship with Supervisor Gheros is?"
Ilis paused. Too lazy to invent an excuse, she said, "We're lovers."
The operator smiled. "You have a wonderful partner."
"Verification approved. Your private line is now connected. Enjoy your conversation."
Ilis blinked. That was not something an ordinary operator should have said.
