Xu Mu's unhurried voice reached Zeraora's ears.
Zeraora had been enjoying the boost from the Electric-type Fruit, but a flicker of fear and regret suddenly stirred inside him.
The next second, Greninja leaped out of his Poké Ball on his own, eager to get started.
"Trainer, I was wrong! I shouldn't have... (Ten thousand words of apology omitted.)"
Xu Mu sucked in a sharp breath as Zeraora apologized frantically.
With that, he finally understood one thing about the newest member of his team: Zeraora knew when to back down, and fast.
Even Greninja couldn't bring himself to strike after Zeraora's torrent of apologies. Helpless, he returned to his Poké Ball.
Before leaving, he gave Xu Mu a look that seemed to say, Get someone else to deal with him next time.

Xu Mu shook his head with a rueful smile. This was the first time anyone had gotten the better of him when he held a grudge, and all it had taken was a Pokémon apologizing until he lost his temper.
It was ridiculous!
Zeraora had escaped punishment. He certainly knew which way the wind was blowing.
Of all the Pokémon that had ever mouthed off at Xu Mu, he had gotten off the lightest by far.
Whatever Zeraora was like, though, Xu Mu had caught him in the end.
The moment Xu Mu caught Zeraora in an empty Poké Ball, the system chimed:
