Yelu Qi lived in his own little world, naively convinced that this Dragonite was invincible.
He imagined Xu Mu fleeing in disgrace with Cynthia...
So he stayed poised like a sprinter at the starting line, staring intently at Xu Mu.
He was afraid Xu Mu would get a head start.
"Forget it. I'll handle this. That guy should have snapped out of his confusion by now."
Seeing clarity return to Dragonite's eyes, Xu Mu flexed his fingers and called out Greninja.
The instant Greninja appeared, Yelu Qi let out a roar!
"Now, Ampharos! Run!"
With that, he bolted away alongside Ampharos. Even an Arcanine using Extreme Speed couldn't have kept up!
Only after he had run out of the clearing did Yelu Qi stop, looking proud of himself.
"See? I told you he'd run! Everything he said before was just to make me let my guard down!"
"Ampha!"
Ampharos trusted Yelu Qi unconditionally and gave a soft cry of agreement.
"Good thing I saw through that guy's wicked scheme and ran first. Otherwise, we'd be the ones tangled up with Dragonite right now!"
"Ampha!"
Ampharos raised a hand in agreement, gazing at Yelu Qi with admiration.

Thud!
Boom!
Crash!
The sounds of battle rang out behind them, and Yelu Qi laughed even harder.
"Hahaha! That guy must be having a terrible time. Trying to show off in front of Miss Cynthia? How naive!"

The more Yelu Qi talked, the more arrogant he became. He steadied himself with one hand on Ampharos, planted the other on his hip, and threw back his head in wild laughter.
