The Three-Tails and Tobi

"Is the Three-Tails here?"

"Looks like someone beat us to it!"

Deidara eyed the ninja gathered around the lake.

"That's not what your intel said, Tobi!"

"Sorry, senpai! But isn't this even better? Now everyone can see your art!" Tobi explained.

"At least you know what to say!"

Several little spiders appeared in Deidara's hand. They crawled through blind spots onto the ninja.

"Art is an Explosion!"

"Go!"

Explosions rang out around the lake, wiping out every ninja in an instant.

"As expected of you, senpai!"

"Now let's hurry and capture the Three-Tails, senpai!"

"I don't need you telling me what to do!"

A small white bird appeared in Deidara's hand. He formed a hand seal, and it suddenly grew large before flying toward the center of the lake.

"Always in such a rush!"

The two weren't normally teammates, but Sasori was still improving his puppets, and Tobi knew how to flatter Deidara. Deidara didn't mind working with him.

"Why hunt him down when we can make him come out?"

Deidara produced a whole pile of Explosive Clay Spiders and tossed them into the lake.

"Go!"

"Art is an Explosion!"

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

The lake's calm shattered, water spraying into the air.

A turtle covered in spikes and bearing three tails surfaced, furious at having its sleep disturbed.

"Tobi, you're part of Akatsuki now! It's time you captured a Tailed Beast yourself!"

"Aaaah!"

Isobu turned his gaze on the Masked Man standing on the water's surface and slammed a tail down at him.

Tobi sprinted across the lake, muttering, "A monster like this should be Kisame's job! Why make me do it?"

A huge wave rose and swallowed Tobi.

In an instant, his demeanor changed. He looked at the Three-Tails before him.

"The Three-Tails, huh? It's been a long time!"
