Some of what Colette had to say was meant to draw out the Saintess's views on the Order Church.

A nun led her to the courtyard. The Saintess sat in the garden, head bowed, a Quill held in her equally fair hand. She looked pure and beautiful.

"It really is her. After all these years, she hasn't changed..."

"You know the Saintess?" Colette caught the wistfulness in the Heroic Spirit's voice.

"I once attended her baptism."

"You drowned... You must have been quite young when you became a Heroic Spirit, right?"

"What are you implying? I didn't drown in the cesspit! I escaped and died of the infection afterward!" The Heroic Spirit protested like a cat with its fur standing on end, so loudly that Colette's head hurt.

He really couldn't have been very old. He still cared about saving face...

Colette walked over and saw that the Saintess was signing posters, one after another... These autographed posters would sell for a hundred times the usual price.

"Because..." Colette didn't know how to explain, so she picked up a glass and drank from it for him to see. She even burped on purpose, drawing a surprised look from the Saintess.

"I see. How interesting... Let's go."

"You don't want to ask the Saintess?" Colette said, stunned.

"Not yet."

Colette apologized to the Saintess, saying she had remembered something she still needed to do, then stood to leave.

"All right. We'll talk another day." The Saintess suspected nothing
