Of the two, the Six-Armed Snake Demon was the one in a hurry.
The Hellfire Legion's main task was to find the Blackwatch Legion. Now that they had, they could leave at any time. If the "honor of wiping out a Ratfolk Clan" came at the cost of heavy casualties, Femi would rather do without it.

Femi decided to keep playing this game with the demon behind the Ratfolk, though both sides knew what the other was doing. For now, at least, their goals aligned.
Most of the Ratfolk left on the Demon's Claw Peninsula were Slave Rats. The few Elite Rats and Brute Rats there were no match for Hellfire and Blackwatch soldiers either.
The warriors advanced unhindered to the middle of the peninsula before meeting any real resistance.
