On Maple Island, Annan and Dean Breichim stepped out of the Portal.
With them were Little Spider in the glass bottle Annan cradled in his arms, and Silly Cat, who had insisted on coming along.
While Dean Breichim prepared another spell, Annan looked down at Silly Cat. "When did you and Little Spider get so close?"
Silly Cat, of course, gave him no answer. Annan checked on Little Spider instead; she didn't seem dizzy from the Portal.
The Portal opened. Ignoring the Guards approaching from afar after sensing the magical disturbance, Annan and Dean Breichim continued on their way.
The Portal opened inside a warehouse Annan owned.
Three months later, Annan returned to the Flower Capital.
The Flower Capital was no longer a sea of blossoms filling every street and alley, though residents still kept potted plants and vines by their windows. The sky was overcast, and puddles lay on the stone road. It seemed to have rained not long ago.
The farther south one went, the more rainy days there were. Supposedly, the far south had no Rainy Season—because the Rainy Season lasted all year.
Annan said goodbye to Dean Breichim and summoned Lemon and Klein.
One benefit of not slacking off over the past two months was that Annan wasn't far from level six... Then he could permanently summon another Large Elemental.
Apart from the Water Elemental, Annan was closest to the Earth Elemental Elder and the Fire Elemental Elder. But given how destructive Fire Elementals were, he planned to choose an Earth Elemental as his second permanent elemental.
