Annan's sudden appearance had prompted a change of watchers around the Abandoned Garden. They searched everywhere for how he had gotten in, never thinking to investigate the dry well.

Among Vampires, a Viscount was Master Level. A Marquis was still Master Level, but close to Epic.
The forces the Morel Family had assigned just to watch the Crimson Princess were stronger than her known forces... They certainly had the power to help her, though whether they would was another matter. Annan and Dracula agreed that the family must know something they didn't, which was why they wanted a marriage alliance with her.
"It's nighttime, and you're human. Don't you need to rest?" the Crimson Princess asked, looking reluctant to show concern.
"I can rest during the day."
"That's more like it." The Crimson Princess was satisfied with his answer.
Annan then told her what had happened since they parted, leaving out how he had reached the Abandoned Garden.
"Oh, and I brought Count Turner back to Free City." Annan also told her about the Count's encounter with Wood. Hearing that a Count had been brought to the Dungeon, Wood had gone to greet him with Blood Tofu he'd made himself. Count Turner had knocked it to the ground and cursed Wood for disgracing Vampires, so Wood had beaten him up.
But what the Crimson Princess most wanted to hear about was how Annan had gotten there. Too embarrassed to ask outright, she let him play dumb and brush past it.
