On September 23, the Illusion Immortal Glass Factory officially began production.
There were no flowers, no ribbon-cutting, and no leaders in attendance. Shen Bing, Dong Qiang, and the other workers simply set off a long string of firecrackers, and production was officially underway.
Shen Bing spent the first morning at the factory, supervising the work and guiding the production process.
After the ore was crushed, it was placed in the Crucible Kiln. Calcining it triggered complex chemical reactions, and several metal additives were introduced along the way.
The timing and quantities had to be controlled so precisely that Dong Qiang and Gangzi almost thought Shen Bing was deliberately making things difficult for them.
But when the first finished pane emerged, Dong Qiang and Gangzi stared wide-eyed. Neither had ever seen Glass like it.
It was 8 mm thick and stronger than 19 mm tempered Glass, yet it weighed no more than ordinary 8 mm Glass.
It defied everything the Glass industry took for granted.
Dong Qiang and the others would not have been surprised if it had come from an advanced Gao laboratory. But for Glass like this to emerge from a small workshop was nothing short of a miracle.
They expected Shen Bing to be overjoyed by the successful result. Instead, he calmly picked up the entire pane and put it into the Glass Screen-Printing Machine.
Dozens of minutes later, they witnessed something even more astonishing.
The pane had looked no different from ordinary Glass, but when it came out of the Glass Screen-Printing Machine, it had been transformed.
"Is that a display screen?" Gangzi's lips moved as he spoke. He had never seen such beautiful Glass.
What the hell? That Glass Screen-Printing Machine was a cheap model worth only a few tens of thousands of yuan. Boss Wu had bought it because plain Glass panes were hard to sell, using it to make decorative Glass for doors and windows.
But they would have bet anything that the machine could not produce something this exquisite.
Apart from being motionless, the image in the glass blew anything on an LCD screen out of the water.
And the damned thing was 3D without glasses.
"Dong Qiang, take this Glass pane into the duty room. There's air-conditioning in there. Test how it changes at different temperatures." With that instruction, Shen Bing turned and left the factory.
It was nearly evening, after all, and taxis were hard to find out here at night.
"Come on, get moving. This thing's precious, so be careful," Dong Qiang called, gathering everyone to carry their sole completed pane of miraculous Glass into the duty room.
An hour passed, and Dong Qiang and the others looked at one another.
Through repeated tests, they had gained a fair understanding of what the Glass could do.
And the more they understood, the more stunned they became.
This seemingly ordinary pane displayed different images at different temperatures. The image even changed depending on which side of the Glass they viewed it from.
On other printed Glass, the image sat on the surface. But on the pane before them, it seemed to shine from within the Glass, with distinct layers and a striking 3D effect.
"Qiangzi, why do I feel like marble and jade are worthless next to this stuff?" Gangzi knew the Glass industry well, but he had never heard of anything like the pane before him.
Dong Qiang turned the pane over and over, trying to make sense of it. In the end, he was still utterly baffled.
"Brother Qiang, Brother Gang, you two know the technology. How on earth does this thing work?" A young man in his mid-twenties looked at them, eager for an answer.
Dong Qiang and Gangzi exchanged a helpless glance.
We know the technology? Sure, if it's ordinary Glass. But this stuff? We don't know a damn thing...
The equipment was the same. They had watched the ingredients being mixed and could now prepare them themselves. They had even handled the entire process. Yet somehow, the Glass had turned out like this.
"All right, enough talk. Get the materials into the furnace so we can produce more tomorrow. With Glass like this, the factory's bound to do well. Let's give it our all—we're the founding crew here." Dong Qiang spoke with a hint of excitement.
As the informal leader of the group, Dong Qiang had to say something to raise morale.
When Shen Bing got home, he found a reputable headhunting firm online. He wanted to hire a professional manager.
His brain had developed beyond normal human limits, and he could excel in any field. But he was still only one person. He could not do everything at once.
After sending over the job requirements, Shen Bing left the matter alone.
Given the current size of his company... well, factory... no, workshop, hiring a top-tier professional manager was virtually impossible.
As for finding a once-in-a-century business genius the moment he started a company, that was pure nonsense.
Had people been reading too many novels?
Shen Bing then began preparing Basic Spiritual Wisdom Potion. He had made it once before, so he knew the process well.
In less than an hour, five bottles of pale blue liquid stood before him. Once he gave the potion to the two black-backed dogs at the factory tomorrow, they would be perfectly capable of serving as guards.
The extra bottles would be kept in reserve. He figured he would need them within a few days.
Just as Shen Bing finished and was about to order takeout for dinner, his phone rang. It seemed the Basic Spiritual Wisdom Potion he had just made would come in handy after all.
Seeing the number on the screen, Shen Bing smiled. Someone had come to give him money.
"Dad, what's up? It's not like I'm short of money lately," Shen Bing said casually.
Shen's Father's voice came through the phone. "Don't play dumb with me, kid. That amazing dog from last time... no, that mutt. Can you get another one?"
Shen Bing had no intention of fooling his own father. "I can get one, but the price..."
"The price is fine. Same as before. When can you deliver it?" Shen's Father sounded impatient.
Uh... why does this sound so shady? Are we definitely talking about buying a dog, not some white powder?
"The day after tomorrow. I'll... make contact tomorrow," Shen Bing said.
Luckily, he had caught himself. If he had said he would buy a mutt at the market tomorrow and train it, his father would surely have charged over from their hometown and hacked him to pieces.
He had talked his father out of a million yuan for one mutt. What kind of son did that? Who else would his father hack?
"Good. I'll come over the day after tomorrow." Shen's Father sounded a little excited.
After the call ended, Shen Bing grinned.
How much did Dad make from Big Yellow? Five hundred thousand? A million? Who cares? As long as it stays in the family.
