"Fine."
"Sure." Xis and Cal exchanged a glance and agreed without hesitation.
"These children are our future. We can't let resource issues hold them back."
Everyone else had no objections either. They were all sect managers, and for a mid-tier sect like theirs, once the leader spoke, the matter was as good as settled.
"Good. Now let's talk about something else."
Once the simple matters were decided, Aisafu's expression turned serious. "Regarding disciple training, I think Mu Yang should start learning the sect's qigong techniques early."
"Senior Brother Aisafu, you mean... let Mu Yang start qigong early?"
The others looked startled at his words. Though they had gathered today to discuss the sect's legacy, none of them expected Aisafu to suggest letting Mu Yang begin qigong training ahead of schedule.
The sect's legacy was a weighty matter. Even though Tianxin Style was only a mid-tier sect in the martial world, they couldn't afford to be careless about inheritance. The method of qigong cultivation was the very core of a sect's heritage.
One could say that mastering qigong was what made someone a pillar of Tianxin Style. Unfortunately, for several generations now, few disciples had achieved any real proficiency in qigong, leaving that pillar half-collapsed.
"Letting Mu Yang start qigong training now... isn't it a bit early?" The man named Xis paused. "He's only fourteen. Qigong cultivation demands an extremely strong physique. Can his body handle it?"
Tianxin Style's early years were all about building a foundation, preparing for later qigong training. The more solid the foundation, the better the results. Everyone present had only started qigong after turning thirty, because without a powerful body, one couldn't even condense internal qi, and might even be harmed by its unique energy.
Not everyone had a freakish physique like Son Goku!
So Xis was worried about Aisafu's idea of teaching Mu Yang qigong now.
"It's not early. Mu Yang's physical foundation is very solid. I see no problem." Aisafu stated his opinion clearly.
He was very satisfied with his disciple. Tough, tenacious, unyielding, and with decent talent—Aisafu had seen Mu Yang's progress over this period and regarded him as a true successor. Especially in the past year, Mu Yang's improvement had shown the rise of a martial arts prodigy.
"If Senior Brother Aisafu thinks it's fine, I have no objection," Cal said.
"Mu Yang is a good kid. I agree too," Yula added.
"Agreed."
"Seconded."
The rest voiced their approval, all in favor of letting Mu Yang start qigong training now. Seeing everyone on board, Xis shrugged helplessly. "Fine, I agree too. Tsk, starting qigong at fourteen—that's got to be the earliest on record."
All six elders voted unanimously.
"Then it's settled. We'll arrange a time tomorrow to formally teach Mu Yang the sect's qigong." With the matter decided, a smile spread across Aisafu's face.
"Oh, and about Meixia—I just received a reply from the Southern Region Superpower Academy."
"Oh? How did it go? Did she get in?" Hearing that Aisafu had gotten a reply from the Southern Region Superpower Academy, Cal and the others looked curious.
The Superpower Academy was a very mysterious place on Earth, existing for who knows how many years. It was said to be the cradle of superpowered individuals, with an affiliated Transformation Kindergarten that was also quite famous. When Meixia first awakened her superpower, Aisafu had considered contacting the academy on her behalf, and now they finally had a response.
"She got in!" Aisafu looked at everyone's expressions and nodded with a smile. "Starting from the second half of the year, Meixia will be a student at the Superpower Academy."
"Great! Our sect has produced two geniuses at once. Once Mu Yang and Meixia grow up, maybe Tianxin Style can reach its peak again."
"Who's to say it won't!"
At that moment, whether it was Yula or Xis, everyone was in high spirits, as if they could already see the day their sect would rise.
The next day.
Mu Yang received his teacher's notice and arrived at his master's home early in the morning.
Aisafu had just finished breakfast and was in the backyard gathering his energy. Meixia, still being urged by her mother Alice to wash up, saw Mu Yang arrive. She quickly splashed her face clean and ran out with her hair still dripping, dark green strands clinging to her fair, jade-like cheeks.
"Senior Brother, you're here!" Meixia said cheerfully.
"Mm." Mu Yang smiled and nodded, wiping the water droplets from her hair tips before turning to greet his master's wife. Though Alice was an ordinary person with no martial arts skills, she usually helped take care of the disciples' meals, earning their deep respect.
"Master's wife, where is the teacher?"
Alice walked over with a smile. "Your teacher is in the backyard. Wait here a moment, I'll go call him."
With that, Alice set down her work and went to the backyard to fetch Aisafu. Soon, Aisafu came over. Seeing his teacher approach, Mu Yang was about to greet him, but when his eyes met Aisafu's, he suddenly felt a shiver run through him. Today, his teacher seemed different.
Compared to usual, an intense aura radiated from his entire being.
Mu Yang stared fixedly at Aisafu, confusion in his eyes.
Aisafu laughed heartily, nodded approvingly, and called out, "Come, let's go to the training ground at Da Qingshan Mountains. Your elders are already waiting there." He glanced at his daughter Meixia and added, "Meixia, you come too. It'll be good for you to broaden your horizons."
"The training ground at Da Qingshan Mountains?"
Mu Yang was taken aback, unsure what his teacher was up to, but he nodded anyway.
Meixia leaned in and asked, "Senior Brother, do you know what Father is planning?"
Mu Yang shook his head. "If you don't know, how would I?"
Meixia thought that made sense, hummed in agreement, and followed beside Aisafu and Mu Yang as the three of them headed toward the rear of Da Qingshan Mountains.
