Background / History

Tianxin Style and Superpower Academy

Meixia began as Mu Yang's young junior sister in the Tianxin Style. She was already able to fly and wield telekinesis, though she was talkative, impulsive, and prone to arriving late for training 1 3 4. During their early excursions through the Primeval Mountains, Mu Yang had her use Psychic Power under supervision but repeatedly insisted that she develop her martial arts rather than depend on her innate ability 4 6.

She left Da Qingshan for the Superpower Academy in the southern region, determined to become stronger and challenging Mu Yang to see who would improve faster 11. By age fifteen, she had become a senior student with an Energy Detector reading of 41 and enough psychic talent to stand above much of the academy 29 93.

Engagement and Death

Meixia reunited with Mu Yang after years apart, and their childhood senior-junior relationship developed into mutual affection and an engagement approved by her mother, Alice 93 131. She entered the twelfth World's Number One Martial Arts Tournament disguised as the black-haired fighter “Meili,” using her martial skill and psychic power without revealing herself at first 138 143 144.

Before their wedding, she and Mu Yang traveled to collect the Dragon Balls, with Meixia locating one through Psychic Power 149. At a later point, she died; her soul was sent to hell and became entangled with demonic energy that threatened to consume or corrupt it 171.

Soul Form and Reincarnation

Mu Yang rescued Meixia's soul from hell and housed her in his Acceleration Space, where she retained her consciousness and personality while undergoing soul metamorphosis 176 177. Her family and fellow Tianxin Style members were allowed to meet her soul, which appeared with the halo of the deceased 178.

Unable to regain a normal physical body immediately, Meixia trained her mental power through Soul Splitting Tempering and Vacuum Inner Breath. She learned to create independent soul clones and spar with herself using bodies condensed from Divine Ki 190 211.

Using the Dragon Balls, Mu Yang granted her wish for reincarnation. Her souls were sent to the Underworld to be reborn as female Saiyans 230.

Reborn Saiyan

Nine years after the reincarnation, Mu Yang sought out her new life on Planet Vegeta 243. Her divided soul existed as the twins Meliya and Melis; when they learned Metamoran Fusion, they formed Meixia, restoring the complete soul and identity of Mu Yang's former wife 256 257.

Meixia later fully awakened when her consciousness merged with those of Meliya and Melis. Her body matured into an adult form, and her personality became a more mature blend of Meliya's pride and liveliness with Melis's gentler temperament 266.
