When Pan Long heard what the Heaven Crystal Stones could do, he froze.
He turned to Bi Lingkong, only to find her just as stunned.
"Those ten Heaven Crystal Stones can do that too?" she asked curiously. "Wen Chao never mentioned it."
"Of course he didn't tell you. You were already clamoring for them without knowing their true purpose. If you'd known, you probably would've pestered him every day." Nostalgia crossed Lanling Kuang's face. "Zhao Sheng told me. He said that if the Chaos Heaven Treasure Mirror was ever lost, the younger generations of the Di Lineage should study the Heaven Crystal."
He shook his head with a rueful smile. "But after all these years, the Chaos Heaven Treasure Mirror hasn't been lost, so I was the only one who knew this secret. In the end, all those Heaven Crystal Stones fell into your hands. The secret I kept no longer means anything."
Bi Lingkong immediately went back inside, removed the crystal as red as blood from her pillow, and asked, "This is Blood Firmament, right? How are we supposed to study it?"
"He didn't say back then. You'll have to figure it out yourselves."
So Bi Lingkong handed the Heaven Crystal Stone to Pan Long. "Well, figure it out yourself."
Pan Long gazed at the small gemstone, full of curiosity.
Could a stone no bigger than his thumb really contain a supreme art that would let someone cross swords with Bi Lingkong once they mastered it?

He examined it for ages. The stone was crystal clear, without a speck of impurity inside, let alone any writing or pictures. Even if he wanted to learn from it, he had no idea where to begin.
