Pan Long thought for a moment and decided to make something up on the spot.

"Really?!" Even Charname looked at him in surprise.

Pan Long gathered his thoughts and chose his words. "That elder was a Patrol Team captain. One day, he came across a burly man fleeing with a woman and a child, so he stepped in to help. Their pursuer was a strange young man. He looked perfectly refined, but his body could break apart and come back together at will. Swords, arrows, crossbow bolts—it didn't matter
