Luo Qian found it funny even to imagine it: poor Li Feier was still so young, yet her first trip to the Celestial Palace had landed her in the infamous Heavenly Prison. She really was a little troublemaker through and through. Not that she understood that herself.
Luo Qian had no idea what means Li Boda had used, but just as when he had been trapped in that Sealing Art, he could not use a single Magic Treasure.
Li Feier looked miserable, while Luo Qian, the newcomer to the Celestial Palace, seemed much calmer. "Feier, is there any way to keep us from getting married by mistake and still make your father willingly let us out?" The moment Li Feier heard that, she bristled. "Would marrying me be such a hardship? What do you mean, 'by mistake'?" Luo Qian laughed awkwardly. "Wrong time, wrong place... But not the wrong thing." Her expression dimmed. "Stop dreaming. I know my father's temper. I don't want to marry Feng Zilei, but I don't want to marry you either... Father's kept me locked up for months. I'm nearly suffocating in here..."
"Could you be a little less blunt?" Luo Qian complained. "Besides, what's wrong with me?" Li Feier wrinkled her little nose. Her pretty face looked adorable as she thought it over. "Honestly, you're not bad. If I still haven't found anyone suitable after I turn twenty-two, I'll make do with you."
Luo Qian beat a retreat.
Li Feier grew enthusiastic, apparently taking the matter seriously. "Luo Qian, why don't we make a pact? If neither of us has found anyone suitable by a certain age, we'll make do with each other." Luo Qian felt he had heard of something like this before. Then it struck him: a backup lover.
