Volume Four: The Buddha Saves No One, but I, the Demon, Do - Business District (Part Two)
"Surrounded by more than two hundred villa-caverns priced at a billion High-Grade Immortal Jade each, how could you fail to make money selling anything?" Enormous red letters bearing this message appeared at choice locations across the Immortal Realm within a week. People swallowed the pitch: with such a vast, ever-growing pool of wealthy customers, any business here was bound to turn a profit.
Setting Sun Apartments was officially renamed "Jadeclear Century." Luo Qian spent a fortune in Immortal Jade turning it into a sturdy building modeled on upscale shopping centers in the Lower Realm, and was now energetically recruiting tenants.
But fooling other people was one thing. No matter the place or the time, it was impossible for every business to make money. Otherwise, why were there homeless people on the streets of Manhattan and Ginza?
For now, Luo Qian only needed to provide general guidance for these operations; Dongfang Chen handled the details. He was capable at getting things done, and shops were moving into Jadeclear Century.
Luo Qian naturally did not want to leave at such a crucial point in his business. But if he delayed any longer in finding those materials for the Dragon Emperor, the emperor might storm out of the Heavenly River to demand an explanation. The Dragon Emperor had spent thousands of years locked in conflict with Strathas; the two plainly shared one trait: stubborn arrogance. Even with protection, Luo Qian feared the emperor might come charging into Luo Company and carve a path through it three times over.
"The Ten-Headed Golden Snake King's gallbladder, the Sonic Thunder Eagle Emperor's demon core, the Six-Legged Leopard Queen's heart..." Luo Qian knit his brows, wondering how he could deliver. Perhaps Strathas could help.
Sure enough, a moment later, Luo Qian appeared before Strathas.
