The Astral Plane was the Graveyard of the Gods, a place of eternal rest. It held no matter, only a void formed from pure thought and dreams.

When Jiang Hao entered the Astral Plane, a vast silver sea filled his vision.

Soft gray clouds drifted in the distance, while strange bands of black light twisted violently through the air. There was no up or down. Wisps of gray and white light rolled past him like distant stars, and enormous gray rocks floated across the vast, empty silver Ocean like plastic bags discarded into the sea on Blue Star.

Far below the Ocean's surface, immense pillars of Element glowing with many colors erupted from time to time, forming fountains of light.

Once inside the Astral Plane, Jiang Hao felt his connection to the Main Plane grow indistinct. The threads of Faith extending from his Believers to him seemed as though they might vanish at any moment.

The Faith flowing through those threads became intermittent, as if something were blocking it.

Jiang Hao considered this, then tried sending out Divine Power. He found that something prevented it from leaving the Astral Plane.

Good thing I came as an Avatar. Otherwise, Antonio would become an Agricultural Druid with a Class Level of zero. I'd never live that down! Jiang Hao flew onto a huge gray rock.

The moment he landed, his senses blurred. His body began to undergo Transformation.

His eyes burst open with a pop, sending his golden eyeballs flying from their sockets. A huge slit opened across the left side of his face, exposing golden flesh and a mouth full of excellent teeth.

Thin, greasy tentacles sprouted from his torso. Beneath the clothes covering his abdomen, one lashless eye after another opened, gazing coldly at everything in sight.
