Robbing people on a Steam Train? Bamas, have you really sunk this low? Disguised as a man in a black robe, Jiang Hao looked at Bamas, who had disguised himself as a train attendant, and grumbled to himself.
Back in the day, Bamas had at least robbed entire cities. He might have been a terrorist, but he had done things on a grand scale. Now he had sunk to robbing train passengers. How the mighty had fallen.
Jiang Hao looked at Bamas. A glint of gold flashed through his eyes, and the black-robed man Bamas saw changed into Jiang Hao's true appearance.
Bamas: "..."
Bamas stared at Jiang Hao, at a loss for words. He had tried to rob his own master. It felt as though someone had hurled a Fireball Spell at each side of his face; his cheeks burned.
"M-Master... I was joking."
After fumbling over his words, Bamas drew the tiny black Scales covering his body back beneath his skin. "What I actually said was, 'Rob you? As if!' Yes, that's it. 'Rob you? As if! I'm giving you this bread for free.'"
As soon as he finished speaking, the colors around him began to drain away. Every vivid hue turned black and white, like a photograph taken with a monochrome camera. Everything came to a standstill.
Once the change took hold, Jiang Hao resumed his true appearance and said quickly to Bamas:
"Go rob Khalikan, the City of Gold!"
Before Bamas could react, the black-and-white tint faded. Color returned to the carriage, and everything sprang back to life.
"Hello. I'm Palacios, a merchant employed by Countess Eve. May I have the pleasure of making your acquaintance?" a passenger asked Jiang Hao politely.
"Hello. I'm Teotihuacan, a minor Nobility. It's a pleasure to meet you," Jiang Hao
