As Lucifer's voice faded, nothing happened.

No dazzling light burst forth. No spectacular scene unfolded in the darkness of space, and no concepts of ultimate chaos or the indescribable emerged.

Nothing happened at all.

But Kukulkan, the Feathered Serpent God charging toward him, sensed that something was wrong.

No matter what Kukulkan did, he could not get any closer to Lucifer.

"This is the power of the Son of God—or rather, of God himself. The power to do anything he wishes."

Lucifer's calm voice rang out. "With the Fallen God's help, I stole a little of that power. It isn't much, but it's enough to keep you outside my safe distance."

"And next comes this..."

Then, amid the vast sea of stars, an inverted, blood-red Cross appeared out of nothing.

Lucifer hung from the blood-red Cross, his head drooping as though he were on his last breath.

Behind him, a small, dark-red tree took root in the boundless void. Pale roots reached deep into every dimension of Space-Time, drawing out nourishment without pause.

Fed by an endless supply, the sapling grew rapidly, swelling with every passing second. In the blink of an eye, it became a towering tree stretching between Blue Star and the moon.

"An inverted, blood-red Cross. A tree rooted in the void. That's..."

In a lavish palace, a Theologian stared at the image on a large screen. His body trembled involuntarily, and deep fear filled his eyes. "...the Qliphothic Tree of Life Diagram!"

"Blasphemy! This is blasphemy!"
