Thessaloniki was the largest port and second-largest city in northern Greece, as well as the capital of Thessaloniki Prefecture. Located west of the Halkidiki Peninsula, beside the Aegean Sea and below Olympus Holy Mountain, it was Greece's second-largest economic and cultural center and a major transportation hub in southeastern Europe.
Since the gods' arrival, the city had developed rapidly. Everyone believed Olympus Holy Mountain was their home, making Thessaloniki the city closest to the gods.
Countless wealthy people and Believers of the Greek gods had gathered there from around the world. The Believers thought they could bask in the gods' Radiance, while the wealthy hoped to gain their protection.
But at that moment, panic gripped the prosperous city. Cars jammed the avenues, horns blaring. Some people abandoned their vehicles and fled.
"Run!"
"Damn it, what's going on? Wasn't this supposed to be the city closest to the gods? Wasn't it under their protection? Why is a disaster like this happening?"
"Lightning! Thunderbolt! Zeus is angry! Great Zeus, please calm your wrath!"
"Zeus is angry? Who the hell pissed him off?"

People sprinted away from Olympus Holy Mountain, the center of the lightning, venting their anger as they ran. That morning, they had simply gotten in their cars to go to work and start another busy day.
Then Thunderbolt had suddenly roared overhead. Lightning bolts appeared out of nowhere, one after another, striking the high-rises. In an instant, a perfectly good city was plunged into an apocalyptic disaster.
News of what was happening in Thessaloniki spread across the world through the internet. From East to West and South to North, people saw footage of lightning blazing for miles over the city.
"What happened? Why is this happening?"
