A dazzling sea of Thunderbolt appeared above Olympus. Its brilliant silver spread faster than the eye could follow, soon covering the entire sky of Blue Star.
From Big Apple City to Fog City, from Tokyo to Sydney City, from the northernmost reaches to the southernmost, anyone who looked up from any corner of Blue Star saw nothing but a Sea of Thunder.
Seen from a satellite, a point of light had appeared on the blue planet's surface. It expanded rapidly until it enveloped the entire world.
Then some of the Thunderbolt gathered into a pillar and struck the palace that had turned to stone.
A deafening boom rang out. The Sea Emperor's Trident gave a mournful cry and flew away from the impact.
Zeus, the omnipotent God King, emerged from the lightning, white cloth draped over his mighty frame. An indescribable majesty settled over every living thing on Blue Star.
Humans in cities, aquatic creatures in seas and rivers, animals in mountains and forests—every living being, whatever they had been doing, felt a vast, fathomless majesty descend upon them.
Many trembled and fell to their knees, unable to move. Only those with steadfast wills and devout faith could barely resist Zeus's majesty. They struggled to remain standing beneath that boundless, ocean-like presence rather than kneel before a god not their own.
To them, Zeus was a mighty power, the God of All Gods, the King of the Gods—but he was not their lord.
"Athena, Hera, Apollo, Poseidon, and Sleep God Hypnos, who hid in the shadows and put me to sleep. Hades, who ordered him to do it. Hephaestus, who forged that Iron Chain, and all you gods who wavered between betrayal and loyalty—your end has come."
The towering Zeus gathered into his hand the Thunderbolt that covered the world.
