The enormous Boat of Millions of Years crossed the sky, dazzling light pouring from it with the heat of the sun. It drove away the terrifying darkness overhead and the cold winds from the Underworld, bringing warmth back to the earth.
At the center of the chariot sat Ra, ram-headed and human-bodied, with golden flesh, silver bones, and lapis lazuli hair. Behind his head hung the Eye of Horus, drawn in simple gray lines and covered in symbols. It blazed as brightly as the Boat of Millions of Years, their light shining together upon the earth.
Behind him stood Atum, Amun, Horus, Khepri, Khnum, and other gods of every form. Their hands were folded and their eyes lowered. They looked almost like figures in the background, yet they radiated an irresistible divine might.
