Fugaku's body shook violently, and his face turned from pale to gray.

Quan followed from behind, her steps slower than the two of them. She stood still in front of Mikoto, her brows slightly furrowed.

"Do you mean Lord Yongye?"

"I guess he won't agree."

"Yongye pursues justice at the top and benevolence at the bottom! And for such a big crime as genocide, it may not be easy for him to help."

Mikoto stared at Quan with an expression of innocent admiration. His eyes stopped on her face for a moment, then moved away and landed on the half-open wooden door at the end of the corridor.

"Always have to try."

Her voice was a little softer than before, but her determination did not diminish at all.

Quan's lips pursed for a moment and then relaxed.

"Okay, I'll go too."

"Maybe Master Yongye really has a way."

Mikoto turned his head and looked at Quan again. His eyes were filled with incomparable emotions and he hesitated to speak.

She turned around and walked towards the other end of the corridor. Fugaku followed her, walking a little slower than usual. Each step was light and airy, as if her legs were weak. Quan followed at the back, her ponytail swaying slightly behind her shoulders.

The three of them walked through the corridor, through the foyer, up the stairs, and arrived in front of Deputy Director's office door.

Mikoto raised his hand and knocked twice on the door.

"Come in."

Yongye's voice came from behind the door, with the same laziness as always.

She pushed Opening Gate and walked in. Fugaku followed, and Quan followed at the back.

Yongye was sitting behind the desk, with the back of the chair tilted back slightly and his hands folded on the table. He raised his eyes and looked at the three people at the door, with the corners of his mouth slightly raised.

"Hey, it's such a big battle, do you want to fight with me?"

Mikoto stood in front of the desk, her hands hanging by her sides, and her hands subconsciously clenched into fists. She took a deep breath, bent down, and bowed.

"Yongye-sama."

"Can you think of a way?"

"Give Itachi a crime and meritorious service?"

Yongye leaned on the back of the chair, took his hands off the table, and folded them on his knees.

His voice was prolonged for half a beat, with a hint of surprise.

"To commit a crime and make meritorious service?"

"Are you kidding me?"

"That is the crime of genocide!"

Yongye's eyes moved away from Mikoto's face and landed on Fugaku.

Uchiha Fugaku stood on the side of the desk, with his hands hanging by his sides, his back slightly arched, and his toes pointing towards the door. His whole figure seemed ready to turn around and run away at any time.

His eyes were wandering, sometimes staring at the corner of the table, sometimes staring at the window frame, but he didn't dare to meet Yongye's eyes.

The whole person is restless and restless!

The psychological shadow left on him by his previous crime was as big as the sky!

Yongye leaned back on the chair, stared at him, and slowly raised the corners of his mouth.

"Lord Patriarch."

"Your wife, you are a bit in need of discipline."

"This is not good!"

Fugaku's body stiffened suddenly.

His fingers curled up at his side for a moment, then quickly released. His Adam's apple rolled, the corners of his mouth twitched twice, and he squeezed out a vague "um" from his throat, and then another "um", the sound was soft and weak, as if leaking from between his teeth.

He opened and closed his lips several times, but finally stopped talking and just hummed twice.

Quan stood behind Mikoto, his eyes swept back and forth between the three of them twice, his brows furrowed, then quickly relaxed.

She took half a step forward and stood next to Mikoto, clasping her hands in front of her body and staring into Yongye's eyes.

"Yongye-sama."

"Is there really no other way?"

"Itachi is our Uchiha, we should try our best to save him!"

Yongye looked at her, the smile on his face dropped a bit, and he asked the question without answering.

"Shouldn't the person who exterminated the clan be killed?"

Quan's mouth was open, and words of defense surged in his throat, but those words were stuck in his throat and he couldn't spit out a single word.

She stood with her mouth open for two breaths, then slowly closed it, lowered her head, and stared at the toes of her shoes.

Mikoto straightened up and raised his hand to tuck the hair around his ears. His movements were very gentle and deliberate.

"I'll talk to you about this in the evening."

"You... arrange Ayame and the others."

"Now, I won't bother you anymore."

She turned around and walked towards the door. Fugaku followed her, walking a little faster than when she came. Quan walked at the end, with his head lowered and his face solemn.

The wooden door closed gently behind the three people.

The sound of three people's footsteps came from the corridor, one heavy and two light. They paused at the entrance of the stairs, and then continued downward.

Mikoto stopped at the corner of the stairs, turned around, reached out and grabbed Quan's wrist, and pulled her aside, away from Uchiha Fugaku.

Quan raised his head and looked at Mikoto with confusion on his face.

Mikoto's eyes swept across Quan's face, her slightly red eyes, her pursed lips, and her clenched fists. She let go of her hand, stepped back half a step, leaned her back against the wall of the corridor, and spoke in a low voice.

"Do you really want to help Itachi?"

Quan's back suddenly straightened and his heels pressed together.

"Of course."

"I'm willing to pay whatever it takes to help him."

"I know he is either a bad person or just impulsive."

"But Mr. Yongye, oil and salt are not allowed to enter!"

Mikoto Hearing the last sentence, a sneer slowly appeared at the corner of his mouth. The smile looked particularly abrupt under the dim light of the corridor, as if it was seeping out from the seams of the bones.

"Can't you get enough oil and salt?"

"Huh! He doesn't let go of anything!"

"If you want to save Itachi, you have to sacrifice yourself!"

"Tonight..."

Quan's eyes suddenly widened, as if he saw a mouse swallowing an elephant in one mouthful!

Her pupils shrank in her eye sockets, then quickly dilated. Her lips were slightly opened, and she made a vague sound in her throat, as if something was stuck in her throat.

Mikoto didn't say anything more. She turned around, walked towards the stairs, and quickly disappeared around the corner.

Quan stood there, staring in the direction where she disappeared, motionless.

The lights in the corridor shone down from above, casting a dim yellow halo around her feet, making her feel as if she was in a dream.

That afternoon.

Konoha Military Police Force Building.

The simple platform that was erected during the last public trial of Danzo has been dismantled and rebuilt. The new platform is larger and wider than the last time. The platform is covered with dark wood and makes a dull thumping sound when stepped on.

In the center of the table is the dark brown solid wood desk. Rosewood and Gavel are placed on the upper right corner of the desk, glowing with a dark red luster in the afternoon sun.

There were four Security Force members standing on each side of the desk, wearing dark blue uniforms. Water-and-Fire Staff stood at their feet. The copper on the head of the stick shone golden in the sun.

Under the eaves directly above the stage, a gold-painted plaque with the words "Justice Above, Benevolence Below" was specially painted, and the golden writing was particularly eye-catching on the gray-white wall.

There were people standing around.
