Chapter 1236: Cooperation
Before Kiki could accept or refuse, Nadi had already slipped back to her own bed, leaving the note resting right beside Kiki's pillow.
Kiki's face flushed crimson in an instant, and she even held her breath. In the darkness, she stared at the folded note, her mind completely blank.
She sat up from the bed, and this slight movement caused several children nearby to cast their gazes toward her once again.
"I'm going to the bathroom," Kiki whispered into the empty air.
She trotted into the restroom, closed the door, and impatiently pressed the overhead light switch on the wall. Unfolding the note, she realized she was holding it upside down, and hurriedly flipped it right side up.
The note was a message written in District 3 Language by Eleven, the handwriting crooked and messy.
"Can I give you a gift?"
Beneath this sentence were two options, "Yes" and "No", with empty squares drawn in front of both, waiting for her to check one.
Beneath the "Yes" option was another line of small text enclosed in parentheses, with a crying face drawn at the end.

Kiki suddenly shed tears again. She tucked the note into her pants pocket and sat quietly on the toilet for a while, not crying for very long. Before leaving the restroom, she pressed the toilet flush button and turned on the faucet to wash her hands.
When she returned to her covers and closed her eyes once more, Kiki hoped tomorrow would come a little faster.
"I really didn't expect you to run over to District 12 to build a New Party," Boheng glanced sideways at Hesta. "Did you plan this long ago, or was it a spur-of-the-moment idea?"
